Through this partnership, Openpath’s groundbreaking touchless and mobile access control technology will be integrated into SKIDATA’s parking access and revenue control equipment to permit drivers to enter and exit SKIDATA-equipped parking facilities, using their Openpath credentials.

The addition of Openpath’s technology, which provides touchless and mobile access via Bluetooth, Wi-fi, and LTE, to SKIDATA equipment will permit drivers to access SKIDATA-equipped parking facilities with their smartphones and other personal devices, as well as via license plate recognition (LPR), allowing drivers to enter and exit parking garages quickly and conveniently without having to stop and swipe a card or reach out of their vehicle to validate parking access. When drivers approach the parking facility, they can gain access via the SKIDATA app on their personal devices. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LTE access are most useful for managing permit parking, and the technology is perfect for parking owners and organizations who offer permit parking, including residential facilities, office complexes, universities, hospitals, airports, special events parking, and stand-alone parking garages.

T2 Systems’ Thomas Wunk Honored with IPMI Chairman’s Award

 

 

INDIANAPOLIS, IN  – T2 Systems, the largest parking technology provider in North America, announced that Thomas Wunk, T2 Vice President, received the 2020 Chairman’s Award from the International Parking and Mobility Institute (IPMI).

 

 

The annual IPMI Chairman’s Award is a professional recognition that honors an individual(s) who have made an impact and driven change benefitting the parking, transportation, and mobility industry.

Wunk is a Vice President and Industry Consultant for T2 Systems. He is a Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) and teaches a number of sessions for the IPMI CAPP certification process. A product of the State University of New York system, he is an active member of IPMI, and ASIS. Wunk has been in the parking control industry since 1973 and has designed and implemented parking control solutions all over the world.

“IPMI has advanced the parking and mobility profession over the years, and so has Tom both within T2 and the industry,” said T2 CEO Adam Blake. “We are proud to support them as they encourage professional development, research, advocacy and outreach. We thank IPMI for this recognition of Tom. He is very deserving of this award, and continually drives to improve how we use technology in our operations and customer engagements. Tom helped to launch our PARCS efforts several years ago, and has always made sure we are on the right path forward.”

After receiving the Chairman’s Award, Wunk was asked to provide a list of professional accomplishments to share. He instead opted to thank those who have helped him along the way, highlighting his gratitude for having great friends and family surrounding and encouraging him throughout his career. April 30, 2020 Barnacle Parking Enforcement has integrated their Enterprise Management System with T2 Systems’ Flex Enforcement Solution.  The new integration will support mutual customers, including Lexington and Fayette County Parking Authority (LexPark), Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Houston, Howard University and others. 

 

The Barnacle and T2 integration allows Parking Enforcement Officers to deploy devices in the Barnacle Enforcer application, with citations automatically queried from the T2 Flex portal.  Additionally, the integration enables violations to be marked as closed and paid in the T2 system once the motorist releases a device via Barnacle’s 24/7 call center or web payment portal.  This seamless integration will enhance the driver/violator experience while reducing the administrative workload for customers.

TIBA Parking Systems is Selected to Install Access and Revenue Control Equipment in 11 Parking Facilities Across the City of Greenville

Greenville, South Carolina  — The City of Greenville selected TIBA Parking Systems to launch customer service centric operations in 11 city-owned garages and one surface lot, totaling at 60 entry and exit lanes.

 

“After months of research, the City of Greenville, SC has selected TIBA as the provider of PARCS equipment for all 11 of its city managed garages,” said Bill Foster, General Manager of Parking Services for the City of Greenville, South Carolina. “TIBA’s comprehensive solution that includes hardware, software, LPR technology and a mobile application fits our needs completely and we are excited about the improved functionality that will be available to our community.”

The City of Greenville currently operates 11 parking facilities within the Central Business District for a total of 60 lanes and approximately 8,000 spaces. Six downtown hotels, comprised of 3 hotel brands, are also supported by the City parking facilities.

The project will also include License Plate Recognition, Access Credentials, IP Based Intercom, combination of full service pay and credit only in lanes, and offline validations and Smart Sticker Parker Program.

SKIDATA Completes PARCS Project For Jackson Hole Airport 

 

 

 

New Brunswick, NJ — SKIDATA Continues To Expand Airport Client List With Partnership With Jackson Hole Airport. 

 

 

 

SKIDATA’s latest airport PARCS installation has recently been completed at Jackson Hole Airport in Jackson Hole, Wyoming located within Grand Teton National Park. As larger airports continue to improve and update their infrastructure, smaller airports such as Jackson Hole have been following suit. This improvement not only creates a more secure parking facility for airport travelers, but was also designed to be more convenient as well. 

 

 

The project included 4 lots with a total of 11 lanes of SKIDATA automated Power.Gate entry and exit devices. 5 entries and 6 exit lanes provide secure parking for staff members and travelers with both ticketed – paid parking as well as a standard HID system handling employee access. This modern system replaces an antiquated one that required travelers to pay in advance. The 2 Credit.Cash APM units for credit-card-only transactions provide the convenience of self-service payment within the terminal and every exit is outfitted with EMV readers for payment directly in the exit lanes. 

The customers directly interacting with the new system can convey the project success better than anyone. “I found the ticketing machines very straightforward and easy to use,” commented Valarie Brown, a frequent airport traveler. “It’s so nice not to have to put in how many nights I will be there nor have to return to my car to get my luggage. It will be particularly nice this winter.” 

For the Jackson Hole Operations Team, the addition of the SKIDATA web applications of sweb Report and sweb Control provide simplified system data and maintenance access from any internet enabled device.
