TKH Security Selected to Deploy its Smart-Parking System in The City of Hollywood, FL

CHESHIRE, CT –  TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for The City of Hollywood’s Nebraska Parking Garage. The City of Hollywood is a beachfront community located in southeastern Broward County between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It spans approximately 30 square miles with a population of roughly 143,000 residents. It includes a one-of-a-kind Hollywood Beach Boardwalk that stretches almost 2.5 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. The Nebraska Garage, an 8-level, 128,542 square foot facility, will use TKH Security’s camera-based M4 smart-sensor system and digital wayfinding signage to help quickly and seamlessly guide visitors to available parking. The system and parking garage will also offer ParkMobile and Pay-By-Plate payment options for residents and guests.

Available parking by the beach in the City of Hollywood can be very limited for resident beachgoers and guests. The Nebraska Garage was built to accommodate this high-traffic destination and provide additional parking options. TKH Security’s M4 solution will help further enhance the facility, elevate the visitor experience, and facilitate a smoother traffic flow. Additionally, this smart-parking system will also include the Park Alerts software module and CX+ API package.

TKH Security’s digital wayfinding signage guides parkers through the facility. Continuously updated with occupancy data collected from the sensors, these signs help parkers make informed parking decisions. The camera-based smart-sensors then signal which specific spaces are available or occupied using color-coded LED lights — significantly reducing search and park times and decreasing congestion across the facility.
The Park Alerts software add-on enables parking management to gain valuable control over the garage. This module allows the City of Hollywood to set automated rules and alerts that help parking staff manage garage activity, increasing the efficiency and security of the facility.

The CX+ API package was designed to help further elevate the customer experience. Empowering advanced mobile apps, palm-of-the-hand and vehicle-connected wayfinding, and a myriad of additional CX functionalities, this unique API ensures that each parker is treated to the highest level of guidance and comfort for a first-class, stress-free parking journey.

“The City of Hollywood is one of the most attractive destinations in South Florida to enjoy oceanfront views and leisure. We are delighted to help local residents and guests find available parking with our M4 camera-based technology and look forward to enhancing the driving experience for years to come.” Said Thomas Alexander, Regional Account Manager.

This will be TKH Security’s 17th installation in Florida.
Site work will begin in December and is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2022.

TKH Security has been Selected to Deliver an Unparalleled Parking Experience at Abbott Northwestern Hospital

CHESHIRE, CT – October 6, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of the Allina Health network, is the largest private hospital in the Twin Cities and is recognized nationally and locally for its exceptional expertise and care. As part of the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Campus Revitalization Program, Allina Health is building a new transportation hub and adding two additional parking levels to its existing facility, totaling 2,742 parking spaces. Intending to maximize its parking assets on campus, enhance security, and improve the customer experience, Allina Health has elected to implement TKH Security’s camera-based M4 System.

Allina Health originally considered installing a level-count system. However, after learning about TKH Security’s parking guidance technology and how its intelligent infrastructure and unique integrations could enhance the hospital’s overall operation, Allina Health chose to deploy the M4 single-space PGS. In addition to the smart-sensors, Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s installation will include TKH Security’s LCD- NAV and VMS-NAV wayfinding signage and several exclusive software modules: Park Surveillance™, Park Alerts™, and Park Finder™.

TKH Security’s proprietary M4 PGS and digital wayfinding signage offer each patient, visitor, and employee unparalleled guidance from garage entry to exit. The entryway LCD-NAV sign provides advanced, customizable, real-time data as drivers arrive at the facility, immediately directing them to levels that have available parking.

The in-aisle, state-of-the-art VMS-NAV signs display a vast array of continuously updated occupancy data, empowering visitors to make informed on-the-spot decisions. The VMS-NAV offers operators a flexible navigation solution that can broadcast an expansive set of dynamic digital messages beyond simple counts with split-screen, scrolling, and toggling capabilities.

As wayfinding signage guides drivers on their journey, TKH Security’s M4 smart-sensors enhance the guidance experience by indicating which specific spaces are available or occupied using color-coded red (occupied) and green (available) LED lights, helping to remove stress and uncertainty from the parking experience while increasing garage efficiency.

The Park Alerts and Park Surveillance integrations help increase control, security, and safety in the garage. Allina Health was particularly interested in how TKH Security’s surveillance technology could enrich the facility’s existing camera installation. Park Surveillance enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any activity in or around parking bays. With unobstructed views of each parking bay and the space between vehicles, this serves as a reliable and proven deterrent of theft and other criminal behaviors. In addition, the Park Alerts software extension further enhances garage control, empowering parking management to set automated time and license plate-based rules and alerts. These alerts enable operations staff to enforce policies and remain informed about parking abuse/violations within the garage.

As patients, visitors, and staff return to the garage, the Find Your Car™ vehicle locator enables them to quickly and easily pinpoint their car. By entering all or part of their license plate number into the Park Finder system, guests are guided to the exact space where their car is parked, increasing customer satisfaction and decreasing the time spent exiting the facility.

“This exciting project reflects the importance of a camera-based PGS on a healthcare operation that depends on providing an elevated customer experience while maximizing the features to enhance the parking and security operation.” Said Jeff Sparrow, Regional Account Manager.

Construction on the site is already underway and the M4 System is expected to be installed in Q1-Q2 of 2022.

TKH Security’s M4 PGS Set to Deliver a New Parking Experience to the County of San Mateo

CHESHIRE, CT —  – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the County of San Mateo’s new parking structure. Located at County Center in Redwood City, CA, this 7-level, 1,022-space parking garage will service the Redwood City County Government Center Campus, which includes the Courthouse, Emergency Operations Center, and multiple County Office Buildings. TKH Security’s camera-based M4 system will optimize parking guidance from entry to exit and ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the facility.

Originally, the County of San Mateo was looking to install a level counting system in the garage. However, after learning about the additional functionalities that are unleashed by single-space parking guidance, San Mateo chose to deploy the M4 smart-sensor PGS. In addition to the M4 installation, this smart-parking system will also include two unique software add-ons, Park Alerts™ and Park Finder™, which use integrated License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to maximize parker satisfaction and increase control within the garage.

As parkers enter the facility, they will be seamlessly guided to open spaces. The bright, color-coded M4 smart-sensors help parkers navigate the garage by indicating which spaces are available and occupied using red and green lights. Designed to change from red to green when spaces become available, the LED light ring indicator quickly directs parkers to available bays, decreasing parking search times, minimizing traffic congestion, and increasing garage efficiency.

The Park Finder software module ensures that guests can easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. Utilizing the Find Your Car™ vehicle locator, guests can enter their license plate number into the Park Finder system. The system then searches its database of vehicles to find and direct customers to the correct car, easing unnecessary stress and limiting wasted time as visitors exit.

The Park Alerts software extension offers parking management greater control of the garage. This software add-on helps create a more efficient and safe facility, enabling parking management to set automated rules and alerts. These time and license-plate-based alerts notify management if any parking policies are violated so they can take the appropriate action, serving to regulate usage and improve the facility’s security.

“As TKH Security’s first PGS installation with a municipality in the Bay Area, we are thrilled to be working with the County of San Mateo to provide a system that will fulfill all its parking needs.” Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

Working with Del Monte Electric and Truebeck, the project is already underway and scheduled for completion by September.

TKH Security’s Park Assist Parking Guidance System to be Deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport

June 24, 2021

TKH Security’s Park Assist Parking Guidance System to be Deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport

CHESHIRE, CT – – TKH Security’s Parking Guidance System (PGS) will be deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s new four-level parking garage. Located in Fresno, CA, Fresno Yosemite International is the primary commercial airport for California’s Central Valley and three national parks: Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon. Complete with the M4 smart-sensor system, this parking facility will support increased traffic as passengers return to travel, ensuring an unparalleled parking experience from entry to exit.

Fresno Yosemite International, along with the Design-Build General Contractor, Overaa Construction, chose to implement TKH Security’s proprietary camera-based M4 PGS to help optimize space utilization and increase garage efficiency by streamlining the parking journey. The smart-sensor PGS is designed to help parkers quickly locate available parking spaces within the facility. This system utilizes digital wayfinding signage and bright LED signal lights to indicate if spaces are available and where they are located before entering the facility, significantly reducing search and park times for travelers and removing traffic congestion, confusion, and stress from the parking experience.

The M4 PGS was selected for this project due to its user-friendly interface and robust capabilities in an airport environment, TKH Security’s reputation as an industry-leading technology provider, and the flexibility to customize the system’s design to achieve the airport’s unique needs.

Unlike many installations, this site did not use the traditional Park Assist channeling to secure the system in place. Instead, the track and cabling were embedded in the facility’s existing architecture, and the sensors will be suspended directly from the ceiling for a simple, clean design.

Along with TKH Security’s exclusive M4 technology, the airport’s PGS will also come equipped with the popular Park Finder™ software add-on.

The customer-centric Park Finder™ module ensures that guests can easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. Travelers simply enter their license plate number into the Park Finder system and are guided to the exact location of their vehicle. The Find Your Car™ locator searches the database of parked cars and identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, providing step-by-step directions on how to get to the car.

”TKH Security is very excited to work with Overaa and Walker Consultants to design this completely embedded M4 system. This project not only illustrates our system’s versatility but also demonstrates our continued commitment to designing parking guidance technology that suites each of our client’s specific requirements”. Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

Working with Overaa and Walker Consultants, the project is already underway and scheduled for completion by September.

TKH Security’s Parking Guidance Solution Set to Deliver a World-Class Parking Experience at Arsenal Yards

CHESHIRE, CT – – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the parking guidance system (PGS) contract for Arsenal Yards in Watertown, Massachusetts. Arsenal Yards, the joint development of Boylston Properties and The Wilder Companies, is a 1 million-square-foot state-of-the-art mixed-use development in the heart of Watertown’s East End. With unique dining, boutiques, brand-name retail shops, entertainment, a Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, modern apartments, and three eventual life science buildings, this destination caters to various employees, residents, and visitors. Eager to enhance the parking journey at this new development and provide additional guidance and security, Boylston Properties selected TKH Security to install its M4 system in its second garage at Arsenal Yards, ensuring that all patrons are treated to a world-class parking experience.

As guests arrive at the facility, the camera-based smart-sensor system helps parkers navigate two garages on site. The bright, color-coded LED light rings on the smart-sensors signal which spaces are available and occupied using red and green lights. This makes the parking process easier and more efficient for the end-user, and it helps decrease traffic congestion and reduces the time visitors spend searching for parking.

The M4 system is driven by TKH Security’s new software platform, INX™.  This cloud-based user interface provides operators with real-time data, dashboards, historical reports, and comparative analyses to improve the facility’s parker experience and operational efficiencies. This technology platform also encompasses business intelligence modules, service and support access, and optional applications for enhanced functionality and greater control. Park Finder™ and Park Alerts™, two of the most popular Park Assist software modules, are also available via INX.

The Park Finder extension utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to ensure that guests can quickly pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. From there, Park Finder provides detailed directions on how to reach the car.

Additionally, the Park Alerts software module allows operators to set automated rules and alerts that bring important events to their attention. Utilizing time and license plate-based alerts, management can easily track transient parking, as well as unwanted behaviors or policy violations, to help enhance customer safety.

“Arsenal Yards will be a fantastic example of how effective smart building technology is a key driver for improving customer mobility and property efficiency. TKH Security is excited to be a part of this mission to continue enhancing the customer experience through new innovations.” Said Robert Wishart, Regional Account Manager, Northeast.

Working with Universal Automation (UA), the installation is scheduled to be ready for use by the summer.

Park Assist: Transforming Parking at Los Angeles International Airport with an M4 Smart-Sensor System

March 11, 2021

Park Assit: Transforming Parking at Los Angeles International Airport with an M4 Smart-Sensor System

CHESHIRE, CT – – TKH Security (Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) new parking facility. LAX is one of the busiest airports in the U.S. This new garage, an approximately 4,300 stall parking structure, will provide drop-off/pick-up locations and short and long-term parking options. The four-story parking structure will be the first component of LAX’s Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP), opening in 2021. Once completed, this state-of-the-art facility is expected to be the new front door to LAX. Utilizing TKH Security’s M4 smart-sensor system ensures that each traveler will be treated to next-generation guidance from entry to exit, helping to streamline departures and remove additional stress from the airport parking journey.

Given TKH Security’s (Park Assist’s) experience as a leader in the parking sector, LAX chose to implement the proprietary camera-based M4 PGS to monitor occupancy and provide guidance throughout the garage. Designed to help parkers quickly and easily locate available parking spaces within the facility, the M4 system directs hurried travelers through the garage by indicating which spaces are available with color-coded LED lights. This not only enhances the customer experience by significantly reducing the search and park times for travelers, but it also improves traffic flow and relieves congestion to ensure the facility is operating at maximum efficiency.

Along with TKH Security’s exclusive M4 technology, the Airport’s PGS will also come equipped with several software add-ons including, Park Select-Rate™, Park Finder™, and Park Alerts™.

The customer-centric Park Finder software module utilizes LPR (license plate recognition) technology to ensure that parkers can easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning from travel. Using a Park Finder enabled pay station, travelers enter their license plate number into the system and are guided to their vehicle. The Find Your Car locator searches a database of parked vehicles in the garage, identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, and provides step-by-step directions to get to the car.

Additionally, Park Select-Rate allows parking management to easily designate spaces for premium pricing. Once a vehicle enters a premium space, the smart-sensor feeds the vehicle ID and location data to the Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems (PARCS) – which then applies the premium rate to the associated vehicle. This provides a VIP experience for the end-user and allows the Airport to create value for frequent flyers while driving new revenue streams.

Park Alerts increases control and security in the garage. This software extension allows parking management to set automated time and license plate-based rules and alerts that help staff regulate activity in the facility, enabling management to respond to any violations quickly.

“It is great to see TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) help another West Coast top 10 U.S. airport enhance its parking experience. The M4 system provides equal benefits to LAX and its travelers, ensuring that travelers are treated to the highest level of guidance while optimizing how the parking facility operates.” Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

The project is already underway and targeted for completion by the end of May 2021.

Park Assist: Increasing Parking Safety at People’s Trust Insurance Company with an M4 Smart-Sensor System

CHESHIRE, CT – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, has been selected to install its camera-based M4 smart-sensor Parking Guidance System (PGS) at People’s Trust Insurance Company’s corporate campus. Located in Deerfield Beach, FL, People’s Trust Insurance Company is one of Florida’s top-selling homeowner insurance companies. In a fresh campus expansion, it built a brand new garage with over 500 spaces. The garage construction was completed in August of 2020 and is restricted to employees only.

Given the long-standing and strong local presence TKH Security (Park Assist) has in Florida and its proven ability to quickly deliver on projects, People’s Trust selected TKH Security (Park Assist) to elevate the employee parking experience.

Eager to enhance parking while improving its employee garage’s security, People’s Trust chose to add both the Park Alerts™ and Park Surveillance™ software modules to its PGS to protect its employees and ease any security concerns.

Upon entry, TKH Security’s Park Assist PGS is used to help quickly guide employees to available parking spaces using color-coded smart-sensors and digital wayfinding signage. This continually updated guidance information enables parkers to decide on the best location to park at any given moment.

While the M4 PGS helps increase parker satisfaction and enhances garage efficiency, the Park Alerts and Park Surveillance software add-ons improve garage security and control. The camera-based smart-sensors have a unique vantage point of the parking facility. With unobstructed views of the areas in and around the bays as well as the spaces in between vehicles, the Park Surveillance software module enables these sensors to capture and store streaming video of any motion in the garage, protecting against theft, vandalism, unwelcome intrusions, and other criminal activities. Additionally, the Park Alerts software extension allows parking management to set automated rules and alerts that help staff enforce policies and remain vigilant about parking abuse, unwanted activity, and policy violations within the garage.

“People’s Trust Insurance Company was a special project for our team. Despite ongoing COVID-19 challenges, People’s Trust truly believed TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) could deliver a state-of-the-art camera-based system and improve peace of mind for all employees and staff. Ownership was particularly looking forward to utilizing our Park Surveillance feature to enhance security for its newest asset. We are delighted to be a part of this exciting new project and look forward to future expansions on campus.” – said Thomas Alexander, National Channel Manager.
