King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre Selects TKH Security (Park Assist) for its Fourth Parking Guidance System

CHESHIRE, CT – February 4th, 2021 – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for King Faisal Specialist Hospital’s Biotech Wing, Phase 2. The King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC), located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a tertiary referral hospital, offering highly specialized inpatient and outpatient medical care. An avid participant in many clinical and research studies, it is consistently recognized as one of the nation’s top hospitals specializing in Oncology, Organ Transplantation, Cardiovascular Diseases, Neurosciences, and Genetic Diseases. The hospital handles around 10,0000 outpatient visits each year and houses over 1,600 beds with 28 health outreach centers. It has a staff of over 1,000 doctors with more than 13,500 total employees. As one of the busiest and most well-known hospitals in the Kingdom, TKH Security (Park Assist) will install its M4 smart-sensor system to ensure that all staff and visitors parking at the facility can locate an available space with ease.

In 2013, KFSH&RC was TKH Security’s (Park Assist) first parking project in MENA and the first camera-based PGS deployment in the region. This project will be an extension of the M4 deployment in the Biotech Phase 1 garage, installed in 2017. Due to TKH Security’s (Park Assist) brand recognition, superior technology, and previous success with this client, KFSH&RC chose to utilize this same technology for Phase 2 of the Biotech project. This will be TKH Security’s (Park Assist) fourth installation at the hospital, bringing the total monitored bays at the site to over 3,400 bays.

KFSH&RC will use this PGS to quickly steer visitors to available parking spaces. Upon entry, the patented, camera-based technology guides parkers using color-coded smart sensors. The smart sensor’s LED lights are triggered to change from red to green when spaces become available, quickly directing them to vacant parking bays, saving them valuable time, and providing a more efficient parking journey.

This PGS will also utilize the Park Finder™ software module, included in the Biotech, Phase 1 project. With the Find Your Car™ locator feature in Park Finder, parkers simply enter their license plate number in the system. In seconds, it scours a database of currently parked vehicles — identified through integrated License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology. This advanced vehicle locator pinpoints each customer’s car and directs them to its exact location, removing unnecessary stress as they exit the facility.

“TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) is excited to be working on the next phase of this project with such a prestigious client, further exemplifying our long-term commitment to our products and clients.” Said Adam Fitzgerald, Regional Account Manager – MENA.

Partnering with Easy Park, this installation will begin in Q1 2021 and is slated for completion by Q2 2021.

Eagle Hills Chooses Park Assist’s M4 Smart Sensor System for its Latest Development Project, Marassi Galleria

Eagle Hills Chooses Park Assist’s M4 Smart Sensor System for its Latest Development Project, Marassi Galleria

CHESHIRE, CT – January 14th, 2021 – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Marassi Galleria, Eagle Hills’ latest development project located within Marassi Al Bahrain. Marassi Galleria is a 200,000-square-meter shopping mall, operated by Emaar, that will house a myriad of world-renowned vendors and set a new standard for the retail experience throughout the region. Slated to be the defining centerpiece of the development, the mall will be a mid to high-end lifestyle shopping center extending to the beach. Marassi Galleria will host five interconnected districts, each with a theme tailored to a specific customer taste: the high-street, the Family Plaza, a Waterfront Dining Promenade, an animated rooftop and The Luxury Courtyard. It will be the largest mall in Bahrain and the first TKH Security (Park Assist) project with Eagle Hills.

While Eagle Hills first planned to install an ultrasonic system at this facility, the proprietary M4 PGS proved to be the superior alternative, offering a cost-effective, advanced-tech, customer-centric solution. With the customer experience top-of-mind, the camera-based M4 smart-sensor system provides increased functionality and flexibility for future upgrades while offering patrons a world-class experience from the moment they arrive.

The digital wayfinding signage will help quickly steer visitors to available parking spaces. As visitors arrive at the garage, exterior and entryway signage show real-time vacancy counts for each facility level. After entering, interior wayfinding signage and directional in-aisle pointers provide follow up parking guidance, helping guests make quicker decisions about where to park.

The state-of-the-art M4 PGS then directs visitors to available parking spaces. The patented, camera-based technology guides visitors to vacant bays using color-coded smart-sensors. The sensors’ LED lights are triggered to change from red to green when spaces become available, removing confusion from the parking journey, saving visitors time searching for open bays, and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic.

“TKH Security (previously Park Assist) is excited to be working on such an iconic project, further solidifying our position as the only next-generation camera-based Parking Guidance System deployed in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This project would not have been possible without our local partner, Mantech, and we are thrilled to be working with them again.” Said Adam Fitzgerald, Regional Manager – MENA.

This will be the fourth camera-based parking guidance installation in Bahrain, all of which are Park Assist systems. Partnering with Mantech Commercial services company, design work is well underway, and the installation is due to begin in February 2021.

UT Southwestern Medical Center Elevates its Campus Parking Experience with a Park Assist Parking Guidance System

UT Southwestern Medical Center Elevates its Campus Parking Experience with a Park Assist Parking Guidance System

CHESHIRE, CT – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW Medical Center) in Dallas, Texas. UTSW is one of the premier academic medical centers in the nation. With over 15,000 employees and faculty and over 2.7 million outpatient visits per year, UT Southwestern is the largest medical school in the University of Texas System and the state of Texas. TKH Security (Park Assist) will install its proprietary camera-based M4 smart sensor system in the Clements Visitor Garage, one of 15 parking facilities on campus. This will be the first parking guidance system to be utilized on the UTSW campus.

Due to the multifunctionality of the Park Assist PGS, the added security and monitoring features, and TKH Security’s stellar experience with other installs in the University of Texas system, UTSW chose to implement the M4 smart sensor system. With the medical center’s high volume of patients, staff, and faculty, UTSW was eager to manage the garage’s vehicle capacity and increase control over the facility to flex parking demand as needed to ensure all patients and visitors are accommodated. In addition to the M4 technology, this installation will also include the Park Alerts™ software module and mobile application.

Before arriving at the Clements Visitor Garage, guests can check parking availability through a mobile application. The Park Assist mobile application API, designed to alleviate parking frustration, displays real-time information, and is automatically updated throughout the day to provide up-to-the-second availability. Upon arrival at the facility, Digital Wayfinding Signage and the camera-based M4 PGS will guide drivers to open parking bays. The signage directs guests to specific areas in the facility with open parking spaces; the color-coded smart-sensors indicate availability down to the bay level. Using red and green lights to signal which spaces are vacant or occupied, the PGS eliminates additional stress and uncertainty from the parking journey and reduces drivers’ search and park times.

Additionally, UTSW will also implement the Park Assist Park Alerts software feature, offering parking management valuable tools to effectively monitor space utilization and enforce parking policies. Park Alerts will send notifications to management of any policy violations, providing real-time time-based or license plate-based alerts.

“TKH Security (previously known as Park Assist) is excited to be working with UTSW on its first parking guidance system project and bringing this important technology to the campus. The M4 system will reshape parking for patients and visitors alike. It is a valuable resource for the UTSW parking community, ensuring their campus parking experience is a positive one.” Said Jeff Sparrow, Regional Account Manager.

Site work is already underway and scheduled for completion by the end of January 2021.

The Plaza Coral Gables Selects Park Assist’s Parking Guidance System

The Plaza Coral Gables Selects Park Assist’s
Parking Guidance System

CHESHIRE, CT – December 8th, 2020 – Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for The Plaza Coral Gables. Owned by Agave Ponce and developed by Coastal Tishman, this site is a newly constructed 2.1 million-square-foot mixed-use development based in the heart of Coral Gables. The site will be comprised of office, residential, retail, and hotel spaces. This will be the largest mixed-use development in Coral Gables, FL, intended to galvanize the community upon its completion in 2022. Park Assist’s camera-based M4 smart-sensor system will help The Plaza maximize each garage’s efficiency while delivering an unparalleled customer experience as guests arrive at this new destination.

As a mixed-use development, the client will have several different user groups utilizing the parking facilities. Eager to facilitate a smooth parking experience for all guests, Agave Ponce and Coastal Tishman chose to implement Park Assist’s M4 smart-sensor technology. In addition to the M4 PGS, the garages at The Plaza Coral Gables will also include Park Assist’s digital wayfinding signage and its Park Surveillance™ software add-on.

As visitors arrive at the garage, exterior and entry wayfinding digital signage show real-time vacancy counts informing parkers which facility or parking level has available space. After entering, interior wayfinding signage and directional in-aisle pointers provide follow up parking guidance, helping them make on-the-spot decisions within a chosen level.

Park Assist’s state-of-the-art PGS will then be used to help quickly and effortlessly guide visitors to available parking spaces. The patented, camera-based technology directs visitors to vacancies using color-coded smart-sensors. Turning from red to green when spaces become available, this PGS removes uncertainty from the parking journey, saving visitors time searching for open bays, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic even during peak periods, and allowing guests to reach their destination sooner.

In addition to the M4 camera-based PGS, Park Assist’s exclusive software extension, Park Surveillance, will also be included in the installation. This module enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of the facility. With unobstructed views of each space and the area in between vehicles, the M4 sensors can successfully capture all activity in the garage, deterring criminal behaviors and intrusions from unwelcome visitors while helping to protect owners and management against any fraudulent claims of theft or vandalism.

“We are thrilled to be working with Coastal Tishman and Agave Ponce for this exciting new project. The Plaza Coral Gables is slated to be the largest mixed-use project in Coral Gables, FL with various amenities and services available for the community. Park Assist will be able to provide an exceptional customer experience between the different user groups and help make the parking experience seamless.” Said Thomas Alexander, National Channel Manager.

Working with Agave Ponce and Coastal Tishman, site construction is occurring in three distinct phases. Work has already begun on the first phase, the North Parcel, and the second phase of work for the Central Parcel will begin in Q1 of 2021.

Santana Row Chooses Park Assist’s M4 Smart-Sensor Solution for its Latest Parking Guidance Installation

Santana Row Chooses Park Assist’s M4 Smart-Sensor Solution for its Latest Parking Guidance Installation

CHESHIRE, CT  – Park Assist® has been awarded another Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Santana Row in San Jose, California. Santana Row, a Federal Realty Investment Trust property, is Silicon Valley’s premier destination for shopping, dining, living, working, and playing. Offering 2.1 million square feet of retail, office, hotel, and residential space, this development includes luxury rental homes, privately-owned condos, 690,000+ square feet of Class A office space, world-renowned shops and restaurants, spas and salons, a boutique hotel, and a movie theatre. It is the hub for high-tech innovation and development. This popular mixed-use destination will use Park Assist’s proprietary, camera-based M4 smart-sensor PGS to provide a seamless parking journey for all patrons. This will be Park Assist’s sixth PGS installed at Santana Row over the last three years; with this latest addition, every parking garage in the development will include Park Assist’s unique guidance-and-beyond technology to elevate each customer’s parking experience.

Federal Realty Investment Trust, the real estate investment firm behind Santana Row, chose Park Assist’s system to provide the highest level of guidance and elevate its wayfinding technology across the entire mixed-use development. With five previous successful installations, this new M4 system will integrate with the existing technology to enhance guidance throughout the facility. It will include two unique software add-ons, Park Finder™ and Park Alerts™, which utilize Park Assist’s integrated License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to maximize customer satisfaction and increase control within the garage.

As patrons enter the Santana Row West garage, they will be seamlessly guided to open spaces with Park Assist’s camera-based M4 PGS. The bright, color-coded smart-sensors help parkers navigate the garage by indicating which spaces are available and occupied using red and green lights. Designed to change from red to green when spaces become available, the LED light ring indicator quickly directs parkers to available bays, decreasing parking search times, minimizing traffic congestion, and maximizing garage efficiency.

Additionally, Santana Row will link the PGS to its digital displays located around the development. Park Assist’s cloud-based software platform, INX™, will feed parking availability data to the displays, so guests at any given time will know where there is available parking within the facility. With this information, parkers can make the most informed decisions before entering a garage, easing traffic during peak periods.

Park Assist’s breakthrough Park Finder API will help Santana Row visitors easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. Utilizing the Find Your Car™ vehicle locator, guests can enter their license plate number into an enabled kiosk. The system then searches its database of vehicles to find and direct customers to the correct car. This advanced-technology extension is an invaluable guidance feature, creating a superior parking experience. This module increases the likelihood that visitors will wish to return by easing unnecessary stress and limiting wasted time.

Park Assist’s Park Alerts software extension offers parking management greater control of the garage. This software add-on helps create a more efficient and safe facility, enabling parking management to set automated rules and alerts. These time and license-plate-based alerts will immediately notify management if any parking policies are violated; they can then take the appropriate action, serving to regulate usage and improve the facility’s security.

“Park Assist is so pleased to be working with Federal Realty Investment Trust again on this new installation. The intrinsic value of Park Assist’s smart-sensor system will continue to help Santana Row curate the best customer experience by creating a holistic wayfinding parking journey for its patrons.” Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

Site work is scheduled to begin this month with an estimated completion date in May 2021.

Mackenzie Health Chooses Park Assist’s M4 Parking Guidance System

Mackenzie Health Chooses Park Assist’s
M4 Parking Guidance System

CHESHIRE, CT  – Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Mackenzie Health’s new Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, the first smart hospital in Canada, will provide state-of-the-art health care, utilizing smart technology systems and devices, while increasing access to care for the Southwest York Region community and beyond. With a keen focus on technology and innovation, Mackenzie Health will incorporate Park Assist’s advanced-tech, camera-based M4 PGS in its expanding parking facility to enhance its patient’s experience and bring next-generation guidance to the garage.

As Mackenzie Health prepares to open its second hospital site, it has chosen to implement Park Assist’s camera-based M4 smart-sensor system and wayfinding signage to optimize parking in the facility, increase patient and guest satisfaction, and reduce parking search times. This system will also come equipped with Park Assist’s new software platform, INX, helping to increase control of the garage and the Parking Guidance System.

When parkers enter the garage, they will be greeted with digital Wayfinding signage, ensuring they experience the highest level of guidance from the start. Continuously updated with information collected from the M4 sensors, these signs provide highly accurate and detailed data to help parkers make the most informed decisions. Park Assist’s digital signs indicate which levels of the facility have available parking spaces as well as how many spots are available on each level. From there, internal directional signs guide parkers through the facility to the appropriate parking area.

Park Assist’s camera based M4 smart-sensor system then completes the wayfinding loop. The bright, color-coded LED lights in the smart-sensors help parkers navigate the garage by indicating which spaces are available and which are occupied using red and green lights. This not only makes the parking process easier and more efficient for the end-user, but it helps to decrease traffic congestion and reduce the amount of time patients and visitors spend searching for parking.

“Park Assist is pleased to continue bringing an unprecedented patient experience to the Mackenzie healthcare team, alongside our Ontario-based partner, Precise Parklink.” Said Robert Wishart, Regional Account Manager, Northeast.

Working with local partner, Precise Parklink, Park Assist’s installation began in March and is set to go live this fall.

Whole Foods Market Chooses Park Assist to Elevate the Parking Experience

Whole Foods Market Chooses Park Assist to Elevate
the Parking Experience

CHESHIRE, CT –  September 10th, 2020 – Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract at Whole Foods Market HQ and Flagship store in Austin, Texas. The multinational supermarket chain, founded in 1980, quickly rose in popularity thanks to its focus on quality, sustainability, and natural and organic foods. This commitment to quality also extends to the value Whole Foods places on both customer and employee satisfaction.

Whole Foods’ HQ and Flagship store sees an extremely high traffic volume, causing parking shortages within the underground garage. Employee parking is often overfilled, and team members are left searching for open spaces, costing them valuable time and gas while adding to congestion. To alleviate this unnecessary inconvenience, Park Assist offered Whole Foods the ideal solution to help accommodate and elevate its guest and team member experience.

Park Assist’s camera-based M4 PGS and exterior wayfinding signage remove all confusion from the parking journey by clearly guiding visitors from beginning to end. The exterior signs, continuously updated with real-time data, indicate the number of available spaces within each area of the facility, and enable parkers to determine the best parking location at any given moment. From there, the M4 smart-sensor system goes a step further and specifies whether parking bays are available or occupied using color-coded LED lights, so there is no more guessing.

Additionally, Park Assist’s custom mobile Park App allows Whole Foods’ team members to find open spaces and decide where to park before heading to work. Because there are several different locations designated for team member parking, the ability to predict availability before arriving is key to guaranteeing a hassle-free, no-time-wasted, employee parking experience.

“Our team is really pleased to work with Whole Foods Market, in Austin, Texas, where they started. Park Assist’s M4 technology will not only make employee parking quicker and easier, but it will also help reduce parking challenges and traffic congestion in a busy, growing downtown location.” Said Jeff Sparrow, Regional Account Manager.

The installation is set to go live by the end of 2020.

Park Assist Transforms Parking at Auburn University

Park Assist Transforms Parking at Auburn University

CHESHIRE, CT –  August 13th, 2020 – Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Auburn University. Located in Auburn, Alabama, it spans across 1,840 acres and has grown to be one of the largest universities in the South. Park Assist’s M4 camera-based smart-sensor PGS and Wayfinding Signage will be installed in several garages across campus. Executed with partner, FoPark, they will be the first parking guidance systems utilized on a university campus in Alabama.

Auburn University’s garages were frequently overcapacity, increasing traffic and causing students and visitors unnecessary frustration as they wasted valuable time searching for available parking, rather than reaching their destination. Park Assist’s smart-sensing M4 PGS will help to remove these common challenges from the parking journey by quickly and effortlessly guiding visitors to open parking spaces. Upon entering the facility, the color-coded LED light-ring indicators on each M4 sensor will direct visitors to open spots. Turning from red to green when spaces become vacant, these lights specify which parking bays are available, decreasing drivers’ search and park times, and smoothing traffic flow in the facility.
Additionally, Wayfinding Signage located at the garage entrances displays the number of available spaces at various levels in the facility. This continually updated guidance information enables parkers to decide on the best location to park at any given moment, removing confusion from the parking experience and allowing visitors to easily and swiftly arrive at their desired destination.
FoPark and Auburn University were eager to partner with an experienced provider for their first PGS deployment on campus. They chose Park Assist due to its proven reputation as a leader and innovator in camera-based parking guidance.
“We are excited to work with FoPark to launch the first Parking Guidance System on a University campus in Alabama. We look forward to simplifying the parking experience for the Auburn University community as we continue to revolutionize campus-wide parking technology.” – Thomas Alexander, National Channel Manager.
Park Assist’s system has already been installed at the University’s 4-level stadium parking garage and, this fall, the installation will begin on two additional parking facilities on campus.

Park Assist Brings the Latest Parking Guidance Technology to Mohegan Sun

July 30, 2020

Park Assist Brings the Latest Parking Guidance
Technology to Mohegan Sun

CHESHIRE, CT – July 30th, 2020 – Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Mohegan Sun, located in Uncasville, Connecticut, and operated by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE). Originally built in 1996, Mohegan Sun has grown to become one of the most popular destinations in New England. Providing two unique casinos, fine dining, world-class shopping, spas, live entertainment, and sporting events, the casino has continued to evolve along with its parking needs.

Park Assist’s parking guidance solution will replace an older level-counting system used in the Indian Summer and Riverview parking decks. Seeking a PGS that is upgradeable, dynamic, and optimizable for multiple uses, Mohegan Sun chose Park Assist’s camera-based M4 PGS to be installed at its two primary garages holding over 4,000 parking bays.

Mohegan Sun elected to work with Park Assist due to the quality and visibility of its color-coded M4 sensors, as well as Park Assist’s API integration options and advanced license plate recognition technology. Additionally, the casino was attracted to Park Assist’s ability to provide local service and directly manage the installation onsite.

Park Assist’s proprietary M4 PGS and Variable Messaging Signs (VMS) will provide casino guests with occupancy data based on specific parking bay types, such as ADA, Electric Vehicle, Standard, and Reserved Parking. Park Assist’s new VMS-NAV signs are customizable, providing a vast array of information, including the number of available spaces in specific areas, icons, and messages that enable visitors to make quicker parking decisions. From there, the M4 smart-sensor takes guidance to the next level, signaling which specific parking bays are available with color-coded LED lights.

Additionally, Park Assist’s Park Alerts™ module will provide an extra level of security to the parking decks. By enabling the casino to set automated rules and alerts that help parking staff manage awareness and control of activity within the garage, this software add-on helps create a more efficient and safe facility.

Partnering with local electrical contractor McMellon Electric, the Riverview Garage went live at the beginning of July, while the Indian Summer Garage will likely be fully operational by mid-August, just in time for the Casino’s re-opening, as traffic in the garage begins to increase.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Mohegan Tribe on Mohegan Sun’s Indian Summer and Riverview parking decks. Our system provides both aesthetic and functional parking enhancements that will provide casino guests with the ideal experience and the team at Mohegan will benefit greatly as well.” Said Robert Wishart, Regional Account Manager.
