We are truly grateful to all of you who attended PIE 2021.  It was wonderful to see so many smiling beautiful faces.  It was exciting to hug people.  To see and hear you all in person.


As JVH said in his blog: “Here at PT are humbled by the outpouring of excitement and adventure we felt during the event last week in Dallas. It takes courage to attend the first of anything. Kudos go out to the exhibitors who made this happen. The parking industry is definitely open for business.”

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again for the NPA Conference in Las Vegas and then IPMI Conference in Tampa, FL.  And then next year in Reno, NV for PIE 2022!

Registration Now Open for T2 Systems’ Annual Connect Conference




Indianapolis, IN – June 24, 2019 –T2 Systems, the largest parking technology provider in North America, has opened registration for its annual Connect conference. Connect 2019 will take place in Tucson, AZ beginning Monday, November 18, 2019 through Thursday, November 21. Connect is the parking industry’s largest and longest-running customer conference.




Each year Connect brings together hundreds of parking professionals from T2’s customer base—including universities, municipalities, and private parking operators—for dozens of training and educational sessions covering the latest in parking topics such as PARCS, LPR parking, enforcement, permit management, meters, pay stations, parking technology/trends, and more.

PIE 2019: The Words We Choose – Colleen M. Niese, Marlyn Group





Who has the more effective voice in the room: the smart one or the articulate one?  My vote goes with the articulate one every time.  The most brilliant thought may not be heard in the moment if the speaker unknowingly gets hung up on a dreaded communications tick. We have all been on the receiving end of one of those ticks, namely:


  • “The Repeater” – that’s the one who shares the same sentiment over and over again by re-packaging it with different words.
  • “The Embellisher” – someone who may not know the exact details of any given point so opts for overly broad statements or exaggerated facts and figures.
  • “The Filler” – this is the profile that can fill the room with words but not many are quite sure the point.
