The Joy of Seeing Faces and ParkNews.biz Oct 26th – Nov 1st, 2021

Last week, JVH and I were fortunate to attend the most engaging and most fun conference from SWPTA in Las Vegas.  Thank you SWPTA!  It was truly fantastic to see so many friends in sunny Vegas, hear and be engaged in incredible presentations and yes, play in Family Feud and Name this Tune and other games.  And we also got to participate in a Halloween Costume party.  The costumes, some of them were so elaborate, it was a challenge to recognize people under their get ups.  All in all, even with all the learnings opportunities, it was one exciting party lasting 3 days.  It was a blessing to see so many people in person.

Next, we are eager to be attending the IPMI conference in Tampa, FL Nov 29th- Dec 2nd, 2021.  Register to attend here: ipmi.parking-mobility.org/2021/

Also, we are diligently working on the Green Issue of Parking Today for January 2021.  What a way to begin the new year.  Winter does indeed turns into spring.

Please, contact Brian Bullen to create some magic with your ad: brian@parkingtoday.com.

And feel free to send me story based articles, approximately 1000 words long for consideration.

Celebrating People in Parking – Those Who Inspire, Create and Move Us Forward!

Celebrating People in Parking – Those Who inspire, Create and Move Us Forward!

“The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.”
― J.M. Barrie

In these trying and unpredictable times, my prayers for safety and perfect health are with everyone.  Since most of us are working from our homes, I invite you to reflect and ponder about people in Parking Industry who make a difference.  Who care most about the others and who advance Parking Industry and their companies and their teams forward.  Who find an opportunity in every challenge and obstacle, and who with their lives, motivate others to do the same. Today more then ever, we need to hear their stories, learn from them and honor them.  Subsequently, we must appreciate each other.

If you think about such a wonderful person and would like to write an article about this person, we would love to publish it in Parking Today.  We would like to continue with the Parking Experience of PIE 2020 –  aka customer service.   Please send about 800 words word document article to me, Astrid Ambroziak – astrid@parkingtoday.com
We are all in it together.  Faith, hope and kindness are stronger than anything.  We won’t give up and we will turn this poison into medicine.
God bless us all.
Sincerely,
Astrid Ambroziak

Pandemic
by Lynn Ungar
What if you thought of it
as the Jews consider the Sabbath —
the most sacred of times?
Cease from travel.
Cease from buying and selling.
Give up, just for now,
on trying to make the world
different than it is.
Sing. Pray. Touch only those
to whom you commit your life.
Center down. And when your body has become still,
reach out with your heart.
Know that we are connected
in ways that are terrifying and beautiful.
(You could hardly deny it now.)
Know that our lives
are in one another’s hands.
(Surely, that has come clear.)
Do not reach out your hands.
Reach out your heart.
Reach out your words.
Reach out all the tendrils
of compassion that move, invisibly,
where we cannot touch.Promise this world your love–
for better or for worse,
in sickness and in health,
so long as we all shall live.
