TKH Security Selected to Deploy its Smart-Parking System in The City of Hollywood, FL

CHESHIRE, CT –  TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for The City of Hollywood’s Nebraska Parking Garage. The City of Hollywood is a beachfront community located in southeastern Broward County between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It spans approximately 30 square miles with a population of roughly 143,000 residents. It includes a one-of-a-kind Hollywood Beach Boardwalk that stretches almost 2.5 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. The Nebraska Garage, an 8-level, 128,542 square foot facility, will use TKH Security’s camera-based M4 smart-sensor system and digital wayfinding signage to help quickly and seamlessly guide visitors to available parking. The system and parking garage will also offer ParkMobile and Pay-By-Plate payment options for residents and guests.

Available parking by the beach in the City of Hollywood can be very limited for resident beachgoers and guests. The Nebraska Garage was built to accommodate this high-traffic destination and provide additional parking options. TKH Security’s M4 solution will help further enhance the facility, elevate the visitor experience, and facilitate a smoother traffic flow. Additionally, this smart-parking system will also include the Park Alerts software module and CX+ API package.

TKH Security’s digital wayfinding signage guides parkers through the facility. Continuously updated with occupancy data collected from the sensors, these signs help parkers make informed parking decisions. The camera-based smart-sensors then signal which specific spaces are available or occupied using color-coded LED lights — significantly reducing search and park times and decreasing congestion across the facility.
The Park Alerts software add-on enables parking management to gain valuable control over the garage. This module allows the City of Hollywood to set automated rules and alerts that help parking staff manage garage activity, increasing the efficiency and security of the facility.

The CX+ API package was designed to help further elevate the customer experience. Empowering advanced mobile apps, palm-of-the-hand and vehicle-connected wayfinding, and a myriad of additional CX functionalities, this unique API ensures that each parker is treated to the highest level of guidance and comfort for a first-class, stress-free parking journey.

“The City of Hollywood is one of the most attractive destinations in South Florida to enjoy oceanfront views and leisure. We are delighted to help local residents and guests find available parking with our M4 camera-based technology and look forward to enhancing the driving experience for years to come.” Said Thomas Alexander, Regional Account Manager.

This will be TKH Security’s 17th installation in Florida.
Site work will begin in December and is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2022.

TagMaster North America, Inc. Partners With Titan Security Group, Chicago

Tacoma, WA | November 2021 – TagMaster North America, Inc. (TMNA), a leading provider for Intelligent Identification and Mobility Solutions in the U.S., announces the successful partnership with Titan Security Group for the implementation of its License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras at the Riverway in Rosemont, Chicago IL.

Riverway in Rosemont is comprised of a large office complex with multiple entries and exits and a massive existing user database.  The client wanted to improve the guest experience while upgrading the security and efficiency for vehicle access control for their users.  The TagMaster NA’s cutting-edge CT-45 LPR Camera was the perfect solution to provide increased throughput, convenience, and smooth operation at Riverway Rosemont complex.  The highly accurate LPR solution was installed in all ten lanes and provided ease of integration with their existing access control system.

John Proutsos, project manager for Titan Security Group, expressed his thoughts on the collaboration, “Working with TagMaster for the first time was a good experience. They understood our needs and provided well thought out options for the system.”

The solution was to deploy TMNA’s CT-45 powerful All-In-One LPR system which avoids the need for additional infrastructure.  Titan Security Group only needed to update their parking database with driver’s license plate information to instantly provide faster, more convenient access. Using the CT-45 LPR Cameras built-in Wiegand interface, the cameras communication with the database seamlessly integrated into the existing access control software in use.

The result is a modernized access control system with the capability to read the original prox cards or the faster, more secure entry via License Plate Recognition.

Ali Khaksar, President of TMNA shared his excitement for this project, “We are very pleased to have been selected by Titan to partner on this project and we’re very satisfied with the improvements we’re able to provide for the hundreds of daily parkers at Riverway in Rosemont, IL.”

Talk Green with Brian and ParkNews.biz Oct 19th– 25th, 2021

Parking Today goes Green: We are excited about our January 2022 Parking Today Issue.  It is the Green Issue.  And yes, the focus is environment and making parking experience better for the customer through it and with it.  Be it via reserving parking spaces ahead via various apps while attending a sporting event or a play.  Or via getting the ev car and having myriad charging options.  Or lighting systems or wayfinding.  Anything and everything that makes our parking and mobility easier with respect for our planet.

Just this Monday, a sign of electrification going full steam ahead.  Hertz “ barely four months out of bankruptcy, placed an order for 100,000 Teslas in the first step of an ambitious plan to electrify its rental-car fleet.”  Further: “It’s the single-largest purchase ever for electric vehicles, or EVs, and represents about $4.2 billion of revenue for Tesla, according to people familiar with the matter who declined to be identified because the information is private. While car-rental companies typically demand big discounts from automakers, the size of the order implies that Hertz is paying close to list prices.

“How do we democratize access to electric vehicles? That’s a very important part of our strategy,” Mark Fields, who joined Hertz as interim chief executive officer earlier this month, said in an interview. “Tesla is the only manufacturer that can produce EVs at scale.”

And read more here in the ParkNews.biz headline via Bloomberg: Oct 25, 2021 – Hertz Orders 100,000 Teslas in Rental-Market Shake-Up

TKH Security has been Selected to Deliver an Unparalleled Parking Experience at Abbott Northwestern Hospital

TKH Security has been Selected to Deliver an Unparalleled Parking Experience at Abbott Northwestern Hospital

CHESHIRE, CT – October 6, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of the Allina Health network, is the largest private hospital in the Twin Cities and is recognized nationally and locally for its exceptional expertise and care. As part of the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Campus Revitalization Program, Allina Health is building a new transportation hub and adding two additional parking levels to its existing facility, totaling 2,742 parking spaces. Intending to maximize its parking assets on campus, enhance security, and improve the customer experience, Allina Health has elected to implement TKH Security’s camera-based M4 System.

Allina Health originally considered installing a level-count system. However, after learning about TKH Security’s parking guidance technology and how its intelligent infrastructure and unique integrations could enhance the hospital’s overall operation, Allina Health chose to deploy the M4 single-space PGS. In addition to the smart-sensors, Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s installation will include TKH Security’s LCD- NAV and VMS-NAV wayfinding signage and several exclusive software modules: Park Surveillance™, Park Alerts™, and Park Finder™.

TKH Security’s proprietary M4 PGS and digital wayfinding signage offer each patient, visitor, and employee unparalleled guidance from garage entry to exit. The entryway LCD-NAV sign provides advanced, customizable, real-time data as drivers arrive at the facility, immediately directing them to levels that have available parking.

The in-aisle, state-of-the-art VMS-NAV signs display a vast array of continuously updated occupancy data, empowering visitors to make informed on-the-spot decisions. The VMS-NAV offers operators a flexible navigation solution that can broadcast an expansive set of dynamic digital messages beyond simple counts with split-screen, scrolling, and toggling capabilities.

As wayfinding signage guides drivers on their journey, TKH Security’s M4 smart-sensors enhance the guidance experience by indicating which specific spaces are available or occupied using color-coded red (occupied) and green (available) LED lights, helping to remove stress and uncertainty from the parking experience while increasing garage efficiency.

The Park Alerts and Park Surveillance integrations help increase control, security, and safety in the garage. Allina Health was particularly interested in how TKH Security’s surveillance technology could enrich the facility’s existing camera installation. Park Surveillance enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any activity in or around parking bays. With unobstructed views of each parking bay and the space between vehicles, this serves as a reliable and proven deterrent of theft and other criminal behaviors. In addition, the Park Alerts software extension further enhances garage control, empowering parking management to set automated time and license plate-based rules and alerts. These alerts enable operations staff to enforce policies and remain informed about parking abuse/violations within the garage.

As patients, visitors, and staff return to the garage, the Find Your Car™ vehicle locator enables them to quickly and easily pinpoint their car. By entering all or part of their license plate number into the Park Finder system, guests are guided to the exact space where their car is parked, increasing customer satisfaction and decreasing the time spent exiting the facility.

“This exciting project reflects the importance of a camera-based PGS on a healthcare operation that depends on providing an elevated customer experience while maximizing the features to enhance the parking and security operation.” Said Jeff Sparrow, Regional Account Manager.

Construction on the site is already underway and the M4 System is expected to be installed in Q1-Q2 of 2022.

TKH Security has been awarded the Parking Guidance System Contract for Bal Harbour Shops

CHESHIRE, CT – August 26, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Bal Harbour Shops’ new garage. Owned by Whitman Family Development, Bal Harbour Shops is a luxury open-air mall that is home to an exquisite collection of designer boutiques and restaurants; with over 100 luxury retailers, it is an internationally renowned shopping destination.

Bal Harbour Shops is currently undergoing a $550-million enhancement plan, including new retail and dining, that will continue to solidify the destination as a global luxury retail icon for decades to come. As part of this expansion, the new parking facility will be equipped with TKH Security’s exclusive camera-based M4 smart-sensor system and will help accommodate the continually increasing volume of visitors flocking to this premier destination.

Given TKH Security’s extensive project experience in South Florida and proven ability to deliver projects on time and schedule, Whitman Family Development chose to install the M4 PGS in Bal Harbour Shops’ new parking facility. This proprietary smart parking system and digital wayfinding signage offer each parker advanced guidance from garage entry to exit, removing stress and uncertainty from the parking journey to curate an enhanced shopping experience.

TKH Security’s digital wayfinding signage indicates where parking is available throughout the garage. Continuously updated with occupancy data collected from the sensors, these signs help parkers make quick decisions. As drivers make their way through the facility, the camera-based smart-sensor system helps parkers navigate the garage. Equipped with bright, color-coded LED light rings, the smart sensors signal which spaces are available and occupied using red and green lights — guaranteeing reduced search and park times and decreased traffic congestion.

“TKH Security (Park Assist) was provided a great opportunity to work with Flash Parking and Ownership to enhance the shopping/guest experience. Bal Harbour Shops has been a staple for luxury shopping in South Florida for many years now, and TKH Security is thankful to be a part of this massive expansion.” Said Thomas Alexander, Regional Account Manager.

This installation will be TKH Security’s sixth major shopping center project in South Florida.
