TKH Security’s Park Assist Parking Guidance System to be Deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport

CHESHIRE, CT – – TKH Security’s Parking Guidance System (PGS) will be deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s new four-level parking garage. Located in Fresno, CA, Fresno Yosemite International is the primary commercial airport for California’s Central Valley and three national parks: Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon. Complete with the M4 smart-sensor system, this parking facility will support increased traffic as passengers return to travel, ensuring an unparalleled parking experience from entry to exit.

Fresno Yosemite International, along with the Design-Build General Contractor, Overaa Construction, chose to implement TKH Security’s proprietary camera-based M4 PGS to help optimize space utilization and increase garage efficiency by streamlining the parking journey. The smart-sensor PGS is designed to help parkers quickly locate available parking spaces within the facility. This system utilizes digital wayfinding signage and bright LED signal lights to indicate if spaces are available and where they are located before entering the facility, significantly reducing search and park times for travelers and removing traffic congestion, confusion, and stress from the parking experience.

The M4 PGS was selected for this project due to its user-friendly interface and robust capabilities in an airport environment, TKH Security’s reputation as an industry-leading technology provider, and the flexibility to customize the system’s design to achieve the airport’s unique needs.

Unlike many installations, this site did not use the traditional Park Assist channeling to secure the system in place. Instead, the track and cabling were embedded in the facility’s existing architecture, and the sensors will be suspended directly from the ceiling for a simple, clean design.

Along with TKH Security’s exclusive M4 technology, the airport’s PGS will also come equipped with the popular Park Finder™ software add-on.

The customer-centric Park Finder™ module ensures that guests can easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. Travelers simply enter their license plate number into the Park Finder system and are guided to the exact location of their vehicle. The Find Your Car™ locator searches the database of parked cars and identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, providing step-by-step directions on how to get to the car.

”TKH Security is very excited to work with Overaa and Walker Consultants to design this completely embedded M4 system. This project not only illustrates our system’s versatility but also demonstrates our continued commitment to designing parking guidance technology that suites each of our client’s specific requirements”. Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

Working with Overaa and Walker Consultants, the project is already underway and scheduled for completion by September.

TKH Security Introduces its Newest Smart-Sensor Parking Guidance System: PE360

CHESHIRE, CONNECTICUT – May 25th, 2021 – TKH Security is excited to introduce the latest addition to its parking guidance product lines, the PE360 Smart-Sensor parking guidance system (PGS).

This new PGS incorporates vehicle sensing, high-tech guidance, and sitewide surveillance. The PE360 sensors, designed with a 360° field of vision, have complete visibility throughout the garage. Each sensor can capture and stream video and images to our proprietary management system while also collecting rich occupancy data to help increase garage efficiency.

In announcing the launch of the PE360, Gary Neff, President at TKH Security, said, “The PE360 will be the first product that combines Park Assist and ParkEyes technology in one solution. With the ability to function with both systems, it shows the power of our merged business as we continue to drive our innovative solutions as TKH Security”.

Designed to compete with low-cost ultrasonic systems, the PE360 camera-based PGS offers a lighter infrastructure and easier installation. It can be quickly installed, with little disruption and minimal effect on daily operations. One sensor, installed above the driving lane to monitor spaces on each side, can observe up to 6 parking bays. This unique vantage point offers unobstructed views of parked vehicles – while providing parkers with clear sightlines for easy guidance and navigation.

Leveraging Park Assist and ParkEyes’ industry-leading experience, the PE360 utilizes bright RGB LED indicators to deliver seamless guidance, while the sensor captures and stores video footage and images on demand or 24/7, whichever is preferred. With a 360° field of vision, the sensors, driven by a powerful software platform, provide real-time video surveillance and streaming, video playback, and the ability to extract and save videos to enhance the parking facility’s safety and security.

This latest sensor can operate in both the ParkEyes and Park Assist parking guidance systems with either software platforms, ensuring ultimate flexibility and control for customers around the globe.

Scott Dubois, Vice President of Product Management, added, “With the ability to function in ParkEyes’ software suite as well as Park Assist’s INX-driven ecosystem, the camera-based PE360 combines simplified implementation and commissioning, as we continue to add functionality in our new software platform to extract the value from this video-based system”.

The PE360 provides all the advantages of an ultrasonic system with the added benefits of advanced camera-based guidance, unprecedented 360° sitewide surveillance, and the highest level of security the parking industry has ever seen. This sensor bridges the gap for garage owners and operators eager to switch from a basic ultrasonic or single space PGS to a camera-based guidance system.

TKH Security Brings State-of-the-Art Parking Guidance to ilani

CHESHIRE, CT – May 6th, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) recently finished installing its advanced-tech M4 Smart-Sensor Parking Guidance System (PGS) at ilani, the Pacific Northwest premier gaming, dining, entertainment and meeting destination in Ridgefield, Washington. Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE), the resort’s managing partner, selected TKH Security for ilani along with its flagship property, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. ilani is located minutes from Portland, Oregon, and it is one of the largest casino resorts in the Northwest. As part of the resort’s expansion, a 2,700-space parking facility was constructed. Designed to facilitate increased traffic flow during major events and peak business hours, this garage also supports future expansion plans. The M4 PGS will enhance the garage, elevating the guest experience and public safety by offering the latest technology in parking guidance.

ilani’s new PGS includes several popular software integrations, including Park Finder™, Park Surveillance™, and Park Alerts™, ensuring guests are treated to unparalleled parking guidance from entry to exit.

As parkers arrive at the facility, the M4 PGS helps them easily navigate the garage, indicating where spaces are available on each level. Utilizing color-coded LED lights, the M4 sensor indicates which spots are open and directs parkers to these specific spaces. This intelligent system enhances the user experience by significantly reducing the search and park times for guests while streamlining traffic and relieving congestion to ensure the facility operates at maximum efficiency.

As visitors prepare to exit the property, the guest-centric Park Finder software module utilizes LPR (license plate recognition) technology to ensure that they can quickly pinpoint their vehicle. Guests can simply enter their license plate number into a Park Finder enabled kiosk, and the Find Your Car™ locator searches a database of parked vehicles in the garage, identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, and provides step-by-step directions to get to the car.

Park Surveillance and Park Alerts provide increased surveillance, maximized control, and extra security to this parking facility. The Park Surveillance integration enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any movement in or around parking bays. With clear views of each parking bay and the surrounding space between vehicles, the M4 cameras can effectively provide continuous surveillance, document all garage activity, and guard against criminal activities such as theft, vandalism, and unwanted intruders. Additionally, the Park Alerts add-on allows parking management to set automated time and license plate-based rules and alerts that help staff control garage activity, enforce parking policy, and respond to critical events.

“TKH Security was thrilled to have the opportunity to install this new parking guidance system at ilani. As it is one of the largest casino resorts in the Northwest, it was imperative for us to provide a solution that would not only improve each customer’s parking journey but increase security and efficiency of the facility as well.” Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

TKH Security worked as a subcontractor to the General Contractor, Swinerton.

Recently completed, the garage is open, and the PGS is ready for public use.

City Of El Monte Selects Cleverciti’s Smart Parking Guidance System To Improve Parking Efficiency For Local Shopping And Public Transit Access

City Of El Monte Selects Cleverciti’s Smart Parking Guidance System To Improve Parking Efficiency For Local Shopping And Public Transit Access

EL MONTE CITY, Calif. and ATLANTA, May 5, 2021 Cleverciti®, a leader in comprehensive, high-tech solutions for smart parking, today announces El Monte, a suburb of Los Angeles, will provide downtown commuters and visitors with its unique parking guidance solution to help support the local economy, reduce emissions and minimize total vehicle miles travelled.

Cleverciti’s technology will be deployed at El Monte’s Main Street and MetroLink parking lots, two of the most heavily trafficked and congested areas of the city. Once installed, Cleverciti’s smart parking solution will offer motorists digital turn-by-turn signage to nearly 400 parking spaces. Additionally, a city-branded Cleverciti Guidance app will also be available for mobile convenience.

Cleverciti and El Monte share common goals with the smart parking installation: to make it easier for locals and visitors to access and support the local shopping district by finding parking easily; and to encourage ridership on Metrolink by attracting commuters with real-time parking availability and train ridership level updates.

“The pandemic-induced work-from-home mandate gave Southern Californians a glimpse of what cleaner air and less traffic congestion could do for the climate and quality of life,” said Alma Martinez, City Manager of El Monte. “We are leveraging game-changing technologies like Cleverciti to create new commuting habits and lifestyle choices for people without them feeling like they are compromising convenience or safety. With Cleverciti, we are confident we will rewrite the commuter and local driver experience for the better and help everyone reduce vehicle miles travelled.”

As motorists approach El Monte’s Metrolink and Main Street lots, they will be greeted by Cleverciti Circ® 360 LED signs affixed to existing lamp posts and displaying live parking information in 360 degrees, clearly directing motorists to available parking. Cleverciti’s sensors detect availability of each individual space and provide precise data and guidance to available spaces. The smart parking system is designed to increase revenue for local businesses, reduce congestion and improve space turnover.

Residents and newcomers to “Friendly El Monte” will enjoy streamlined access to parking spaces in the downtown Main Street lot. Access to restaurants, retail shops and more – which face challenges competing with online shopping, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic – will become easier to visit than ever before.

Commuters who have struggled in the past to find parking spaces at the Metrolink lot before boarding a train will experience a new level of confidence in their transportation choice. The joined forces of Cleverciti and El Monte have removed the ‘barriers to boarding the train’. Cleverciti’s turnkey solution to finding parking, coupled with Metrolink’s tool “How Full is my Train?”, will provide commuters a clear line of sight from their origin to the lot. By taking the train, both entities hope that people will reduce their vehicle miles travelled, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and lower traffic congestion.

“We look forward to working with the City of El Monte in supporting small- and medium-sized businesses with a mindset equally devoted to environmental sustainability,” states Joe Survance, SVP of Sales, Cleverciti. “It is encouraging to see this California city take a proactive approach to reducing traffic congestion and improving parking availability – both of which have a tremendous impact on quality of life and quality of climate.”

The project began in March 2021 and will be completed in July 2021.

TKH Security’s Park Assist Parking Guidance Solution is Set to Go Live at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center Garage

CHESHIRE, CT  – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, installed its Parking Guidance System (PGS) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in the Wexner Medical Center Garage at the end of 2020. This new technology, now ready to go live, will bring world-class parking and next-level guidance to the patient experience. With the anticipated opening of ~1,900 parking spaces to better serve the growing medical campus, the M4 smart-sensor system will support this expansion.

The installation will include the proprietary M4 system, custom enclosed wayfinding signage, the new INX™ software platform, Park Finder™, and Park Alerts™.

From the moment patients and visitors enter the garage, digital wayfinding signage guides them, indicating where there are available spaces. Continuously updated with information collected from the sensors, these signs provide simplified data to help parkers make informed decisions. As drivers make their way through the facility, the camera based smart-sensor system helps parkers navigate the garage. Equipped with bright, color-coded LED light rings, the smart-sensors signal which spaces are available and which are occupied using red and green lights. This not only makes the parking process easier and more efficient for the end-user, but it helps to decrease traffic congestion and reduce the amount of time patients and visitors spend searching for parking.

TKH Security’s new Park Assist software platform, INX, is a cloud-based user interface that will provide garage operators with real-time data collected by the M4 system using dashboards, historical reports and comparative analyses to help improve the facility’s parker experience, operational efficiencies and drive new revenue opportunities. This technology platform also encompasses business intelligence modules, service and support access, and optional applications for enhanced functionality and greater control. Park Finder and Park Alerts, two of the most popular Park Assist software modules, are now also available via INX.

The customer-centric Park Finder extension utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to ensure that guests can easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. Using either a mobile app or a Park Finder enabled kiosk, patients and visitors will be able to enter their license plate number into the system. The Find Your Car™ locator then searches a database of vehicles in the garage and identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, providing step-by-step directions on how to reach the car.

Additionally, the Park Alerts software module allows operators to set automated rules and alerts that bring important events to their attention. If any parking policies are violated (overstayed vehicles in time-limited spaces, misuse of restricted or premium spaces, etc.), management will be immediately notified so they can take the appropriate action, helping parking management quickly react to any unwanted behaviors and enforce the policies that keep their garage running smoothly.

“Utilizing automated technology to curate an unparalleled parking experience with a focus on wayfinding and ease of access, TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) is committed to reducing parking hesitations at the doorstep of the hospital journey.” Said Robert Wishart, Regional Account Manager, Northeast.

Working with Denier Electric, a seasoned and proven TKH Security installation partner in Ohio, the project is complete and ready for use.

Eagle Hills Chooses Park Assist’s M4 Smart Sensor System for its Latest Development Project, Marassi Galleria

CHESHIRE, CT – January 14th, 2021 – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Marassi Galleria, Eagle Hills’ latest development project located within Marassi Al Bahrain. Marassi Galleria is a 200,000-square-meter shopping mall, operated by Emaar, that will house a myriad of world-renowned vendors and set a new standard for the retail experience throughout the region. Slated to be the defining centerpiece of the development, the mall will be a mid to high-end lifestyle shopping center extending to the beach. Marassi Galleria will host five interconnected districts, each with a theme tailored to a specific customer taste: the high-street, the Family Plaza, a Waterfront Dining Promenade, an animated rooftop and The Luxury Courtyard. It will be the largest mall in Bahrain and the first TKH Security (Park Assist) project with Eagle Hills.

While Eagle Hills first planned to install an ultrasonic system at this facility, the proprietary M4 PGS proved to be the superior alternative, offering a cost-effective, advanced-tech, customer-centric solution. With the customer experience top-of-mind, the camera-based M4 smart-sensor system provides increased functionality and flexibility for future upgrades while offering patrons a world-class experience from the moment they arrive.

The digital wayfinding signage will help quickly steer visitors to available parking spaces. As visitors arrive at the garage, exterior and entryway signage show real-time vacancy counts for each facility level. After entering, interior wayfinding signage and directional in-aisle pointers provide follow up parking guidance, helping guests make quicker decisions about where to park.

The state-of-the-art M4 PGS then directs visitors to available parking spaces. The patented, camera-based technology guides visitors to vacant bays using color-coded smart-sensors. The sensors’ LED lights are triggered to change from red to green when spaces become available, removing confusion from the parking journey, saving visitors time searching for open bays, and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic.

“TKH Security (previously Park Assist) is excited to be working on such an iconic project, further solidifying our position as the only next-generation camera-based Parking Guidance System deployed in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This project would not have been possible without our local partner, Mantech, and we are thrilled to be working with them again.” Said Adam Fitzgerald, Regional Manager – MENA.

This will be the fourth camera-based parking guidance installation in Bahrain, all of which are Park Assist systems. Partnering with Mantech Commercial services company, design work is well underway, and the installation is due to begin in February 2021.

UT Southwestern Medical Center Elevates its Campus Parking Experience with a Park Assist Parking Guidance System

CHESHIRE, CT – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW Medical Center) in Dallas, Texas. UTSW is one of the premier academic medical centers in the nation. With over 15,000 employees and faculty and over 2.7 million outpatient visits per year, UT Southwestern is the largest medical school in the University of Texas System and the state of Texas. TKH Security (Park Assist) will install its proprietary camera-based M4 smart sensor system in the Clements Visitor Garage, one of 15 parking facilities on campus. This will be the first parking guidance system to be utilized on the UTSW campus.

Due to the multifunctionality of the Park Assist PGS, the added security and monitoring features, and TKH Security’s stellar experience with other installs in the University of Texas system, UTSW chose to implement the M4 smart sensor system. With the medical center’s high volume of patients, staff, and faculty, UTSW was eager to manage the garage’s vehicle capacity and increase control over the facility to flex parking demand as needed to ensure all patients and visitors are accommodated. In addition to the M4 technology, this installation will also include the Park Alerts™ software module and mobile application.

Before arriving at the Clements Visitor Garage, guests can check parking availability through a mobile application. The Park Assist mobile application API, designed to alleviate parking frustration, displays real-time information, and is automatically updated throughout the day to provide up-to-the-second availability. Upon arrival at the facility, Digital Wayfinding Signage and the camera-based M4 PGS will guide drivers to open parking bays. The signage directs guests to specific areas in the facility with open parking spaces; the color-coded smart-sensors indicate availability down to the bay level. Using red and green lights to signal which spaces are vacant or occupied, the PGS eliminates additional stress and uncertainty from the parking journey and reduces drivers’ search and park times.

Additionally, UTSW will also implement the Park Assist Park Alerts software feature, offering parking management valuable tools to effectively monitor space utilization and enforce parking policies. Park Alerts will send notifications to management of any policy violations, providing real-time time-based or license plate-based alerts.

“TKH Security (previously known as Park Assist) is excited to be working with UTSW on its first parking guidance system project and bringing this important technology to the campus. The M4 system will reshape parking for patients and visitors alike. It is a valuable resource for the UTSW parking community, ensuring their campus parking experience is a positive one.” Said Jeff Sparrow, Regional Account Manager.

Site work is already underway and scheduled for completion by the end of January 2021.

Charleston International Airport Debuts New Parking Garage Featuring Advanced Parking Guidance System Technology

Parking space sensors and signage enhance travelers’ parking experience by making it faster and easier to locate available parking

Charleston, SC— December 7, 2020 —  Charleston International Airport opened its new parking garage with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week, just in time for the busiest travel period of the year, which is typically between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The new 3,000 space parking garage, features multi-space parking guidance sensors, a rooftop parking sensors, internal wayfinding and external signs along the road and the entrance. “When we planned for this new garage, it wasn’t simply about adding more spaces, we wanted to make sure our customers could locate an available space faster and have a more enjoyable parking experience,” said John Robison, Manager of Landside Operations. “The addition of the parking guidance system accomplishes that goal.”

Charleston’s new Daily Parking Garage is now also the largest parking structure in South Carolina to feature parking guidance technology. “We’ve installed this system in several airports across the country,” said Derek Frantz, Vice President at Parking Guidance Systems, LLC. “We worked closely with Charleston Airport officials and the building contractor to make sure the system not only met their design needs, but performance demands as well.” To ensure the garage aesthetics were not compromised, PGS worked side-by-side with the contractor and embedded the Upsolut Multi-space sensor infrastructure within the concrete slab during construction.

New Garage Serves Rental Car Agencies as Well as Air Travelers

The new garage has five levels, the first is dedicated to rental cars and levels two through five, where the parking guidance technology is installed, are for the general public. The combination of multi-space sensors and wayfinding signage allow the traveler to quickly choose a level and parking space based on their desire. The roof level also features INDECT Views, the latest in rooftop parking technology, for a similar experience. Customizable signage leading up to the garage previews the parking available, as well. “It’s been extremely well-received, thus far,” added Mr. Robison. “It’s great for our customers and also allows us to monitor and adjust our parking based on use and demand.”

Nexgen addresses the operational problems of managing too many keys, unauthorized copies of keys, unreportable loss, and collection efficiency by providing detailed reporting of all activity. Nexgen2 keys are programmed to open only specific locks during a set schedule. Access rights can be turned off instantly, reducing the risk or lost or stolen keys.  All openings and attempted openings are easily audited via the software’s graphic dashboard. This operational intelligence helps bring greater efficiency and control to day-to-day operations.

ROI Factors of the Nexgen Intelligent Locking System include:

  • Improves Route Efficiency
  • Eliminates unauthorized use of keys
  • Ability to set access and expiration schedules
  • Eliminates lock rekeying costs
  • Tracks authorized openings and unauthorized attempts
  • Identifies collection skips and reopens
