Clopay® Corporation Introduces VertiStack™ Clear Door

Innovative new compact stacking door maximizes ceiling space
while providing clear aesthetics.

Mason, OH  –– Clopay® Corporation, a leader in closure products for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and retail applications, introduces the new VertiStack™ Clear Door, a unique compact door with vertically stacking sections, engineered to provide a clear, open ceiling and modern design. VertiStack Clear will be available in Clopay® Corporation’s Clopay, Cornell, and Cookson brands.

The door’s components take up minimal ceiling space, making room for mechanical, electrical, or plumbing fixtures, while the streamlined aesthetic brings the outside atmosphere in (and vice versa). Enabling building footprints to expand and encompass outside spaces makes VertiStack Clear a great choice for commercial establishments looking to embrace the natural environment, such as those in the hospitality industry, including restaurants, event venues, and more.

The product’s sleek look keeps lines and angles to a minimum and cleverly hides key mechanisms. “VertiStack Clear has no hinges or exposed tracks,” said Angela Quaglio, Product Manager, Clopay® Corporation. “The door is engineered to operate smoothly and quietly, so as not to disturb patrons while cycling. When open, the door’s sections can even be recessed into the ceiling, hiding them from view.”

Clear Choice for Energy Efficiency & Customization

Clear panels allow sunlight to fill interior spaces while the door is closed. To reduce air infiltration and keep building occupants comfortable, the door features built-in gaskets between the sections and a vinyl weather seal that clips into the guide channel. VertiStack Clear has been tested to ASTM E283 standards and meets the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC®) requirements for air infiltration, making the door an energy efficient choice.

Customizable to suit openings up to 14’ wide and 14’ tall, VertiStack Clear is available with glass, acrylic, or polycarbonate panels in tempered, frosted, insulated, and Low-E options in a variety of thickness from 1/8” to 5/8”. Specifiers may also choose from anodized finishes, including clear, black, bronze, and dark bronze, as well as paint finishes in chocolate, white, or bronze.

NEW EMX LRS: Loop Replacement System

February 02, 2022

NEW EMX LRS: Loop Replacement System

For the better part of a decade, we have been hard at work developing a vehicle detector that is easier to install and cheaper to maintain than a traditional induction loop system. With direct feedback from our customers, we went through three previous iterations of this new detector and are proud to release our completely updated 4th generation version in the form of the all new LRS (loop replacement system).

The new LRS offers streamlined installation much like its older siblings, but now comes fully equipped with two sensor options that can either be buried or installed above ground. All that is needed is a single pavement cut from the controller to the sensor, cutting down on the traditional 9 saw cuts typically required for an induction loop.

The LRS has the ability to activate all three axis of detection independently (x, y and z) to help change the shape of the detection zone. This is particularly useful when there is the possibility for interference from ferrous metal objects on the fringes of the detection zone.

The LRS-C1 controller incorporates our Ultrameter DisplayTM, which makes configuring the detection sensitivity a snap. In addition, the controller also includes our Detect-On-StopTM technology which allows the sensor to ignore cross traffic in high traffic applications.

In all, the new LRS represents more than a generational improvement over its siblings. It is a major step forward in technology based on valuable customer feedback and significant upgrades to our core sensor technology. Units have been field tested over the past 12 months and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are proud of this family of products and are confident our customers will appreciate just how simple we have made things. The new LRS will be available at your local dealer by end of February 2022.

SANTA PAULA, CA (March 24, 2020) — BendPak is opening a new 100,000-square-foot distribution center near Mobile, Alabama, to better serve customers in the eastern United States. The administrative and shipping complex, which is expected to be fully operational within 60 days, is located in Theodore, just a short drive from the expanding Port of Mobile. The new facility has easy access to three major interstates and five Class I railroads helping BendPak to deliver products same-day or next-day to more customers in the eastern half of the country.

“Opening the Mobile distribution center represents our continued commitment to being the industry leader and best at serving our customers. Part of that commitment means reducing delivery times,” said Don Henthorn, BendPak president and founder. “This new facility brings our products geographically closer to our customers and that makes a huge difference.”

The new warehouse will stock all of BendPak’s popular products including its Ranger, QuickJack and Autostacker brands. A future training facility will include a classroom and fully appointed service bay to offer customers a convenient option for quality technical training on BendPak’s expanding product lines.

“This new distribution center will enhance our ability to get our customers what they need, when they need it,” said Jeff Kritzer, BendPak executive vice president.  “Today’s consumer expects immediate delivery, and we’re focused on helping that become a reality. The definition of Mobile is agile and transportable. We couldn’t think of a more befitting name to call this beautiful city, our new home.”

The new distribution center is strategically located in Mobile County, Alabama, allowing for easy access to I-65, I-10, I-165, and Highway 43. Located in the heart of one of America’s largest logistic hotspots, the new fulfillment operation will offer next-day or two-day delivery to a large share of BendPak’s customer base on the East Coast. BendPak’s headquarters and distribution multiplex in Santa Paula, California, will continue offering shipping and order fulfilment services to approximately 15 western states. BendPak plans to continue its expansion efforts in order to improve geographic shipping advantages.

“The new distribution center will enable us to efficiently meet the needs of our growing customer base on the East Coast,” said BendPak CIO/CAO Rudy Diaz, who leads BendPak’s data and technology initiatives and administrative operations. “In addition to reduced delivery times and improved customer service, the new location will provide added warehouse and transportation efficiencies which will ultimately contribute to cost savings for our customers.”

BendPak’s new distribution center features a 3,600-square-foot administrative office space, 15 dock doors, two oversize ramp doors, wet pipe sprinkler system and LED lighting. A 24-foot clear ceiling height will allow a variety of racked and floor storage options.
