Park Assist’s M4 System is Changing the Parking Game at Cache Creek Casino

March 17, 2020

Park Assist’s M4 System is Changing the Parking Game at Cache Creek Casino

NEW YORK, NY – March 17th, 2020 – Park Assist® was selected by Cache Creek Casino to install its M4 Parking Guidance System (PGS) in Brooks, California. The Casino, owned and operated by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, is a world class resort located about 1.5 hours from San Francisco. With an 18-hole championship golf course, day spa, casino, and nine restaurants, it is an extremely popular destination. On a typical weekend the parking garage is often at maximum capacity and during special events it is overflowing, but the addition of Park Assist’s camera based M4 smart-sensor PGS provides an exceptional solution. By optimizing occupancy and increasing operational efficiency of the garage, Park Assist’s PGS ensures that every customer will have a positive parking experience.

After vetting multiple PGS vendors, Cache Creek Casino selected Park Assist based on its advanced camera technology, as well as its menu of select API add-ons. Some of these add-ons include Park SurveillanceTM, Park AlertsTM, and Park FinderTM, which Cache Creek Casino elected to incorporate in their new system.

The installation, equipped with Park Assist’s M4 PGS, uses color-coded smart sensors to guide drivers through the facility to vacant spaces, reducing traffic congestion, confusion, and parking search times. Upon returning to the garage, parkers can use the Find Your CarTM feature in Park Finder to easily locate their vehicles. As they enter all or part of their license plate number into the Park Assist mobile app, the system uses license plate recognition (LPR) technology to pinpoint the car and direct the guest to its exact location within the garage.

Additionally, Park Assist’s Park Alerts and Park Surveillance add-ons will provide an extra level of security to Cache Creek Casino. The Park Alerts software extension allows parking management to set automated rules and alerts that help staff manage awareness and control of activity within the garage, while Park Assist’s Park Surveillance module enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video whenever motion is detected in or around parking bays. Because the M4 cameras have unobstructed views of each space, they can successfully capture any and all action in the garage, serving as a proven deterrent of theft and other criminal activities.

“Cache Creek Casino is one of the first casino’s in Northern California to install a PGS and Park Assist is extremely excited to equip them with the right solution to fit all of their needs. At such a highly-visited destination we are so pleased to be able to upgrade the customer parking experience while also increasing efficiency and security of the garage itself.” Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

The garage installation was completed in January of 2020 and the site is now live and ready to improve parking for all visitors.

The Nwave Smart Parking Differencewww.nwave.io)

Mobility in our world begins and ends with parking.  Enhancing our mobility by making the parking experience as frictionless as possible is Nwave’s sole focus. Nwave’s breakthrough parking space sensors and wireless infrastructure provide constant real-time access to the precise per-spot occupancy data needed to reduce the time, frustration, congestion and pollution currently associated with the urban parking crisis we find our selves in. Nwave’s team of physicists have created the thinnest, longest lasting, and most accurate smart parking sensor ever deployed. Our award winning wireless infrastructure outperforms all others by an order of magnitude in density and range. Our cloud services enable per-spot mobile app way-finding, automatic mobile payments, adjustable dynamic per-spot pricing, and automatic overstay detection. We partner with parking application and operating companies to deliver the best solution possible to our municipal, education, and enterprise customers.

  Longest communication range: Up to 10 miles Line of Site. One medium size town requires just one base station. Competition needs 5-10 or more.

  Battery life: Due to our award winning* LPWAN, our sensors can last a decade with 15 parking sessions a day.

  Thinnest surface mount sensor in mass production (just 20mm high): Complies with international road marking standards, minimal tripping hazard.

  Detection accuracy above 99%: Working on proving 99.9% which requires 100,000 diverse observations.

  Robust and field proven: More than 2,000 sensors installed to date operating over 2 years on average (as of January 2018)

  Super quick install: Takes just 30 seconds to install, competition is 5+. Almost 10x advantage on installation costs.

  Service model: We install and manage the wireless sensor infrastructure so that our customer and partners don’t have to. It’s the best model for quick deployments and maximum reliability.

  Partnership model: We do not compete with parking application and operator companies, instead, we partner with them so they can provide the applications and we provide the data and infrastructure.  This allows us to offer the best solution to our customers and allows our company to leverage the strength of others instead of competing with them.

The new Urbiotica White Paper reveals myths and truths about Smart Parking technologies

Urbiotica presents its new White Paper to offer a better perspective on the myths and truths of existing technologies aimed at improving the management and optimisation of parking areas. This document outlines the experience accumulated by the company over the past eight years, during which more than 10,000 sensors have been deployed and almost 3 million daily detections generated, sensors which are still operational in customer projects in almost twenty countries on three continents.

The emergence of technologies related to the Internet of Things has aroused great expectations for those who manage car parks. However, because the projects deployed have not always achieved their goals, some users remain doubtful about the reliability of the solutions applied. This has led to a debate on the maturity of these technologies.

The White Paper reviews current technologies for detecting vehicles and summarises the advantages and disadvantages of each of them. Urbiotica details in this document the company’s experience in implementing smart parking solutions, the technical and operational know-how developed, the difficulties we have faced and the major successes obtained and future opportunities to be offered by technological developments and market evolution.

The new White Paper describes how, from an original and patented idea, Urbiotica has built its success story.

We will present this document and other Urbiotica novelties at the upcoming Intertraffic event to be held in Amsterdam from 5 to 8 April. Intertraffic: EL.305 ELICIUM Hall.

Nedap’s parking sensors installed at Polish metropolitan area

February 10, 2016

Nedap

Tri-City, consisting of the Polish cities of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia, introduced the TRISTAR project to improve traffic efficiency. Nedap’s parking sensors are installed to maximize the utilization of the existing on-street parking capacity.

Tri-city

Tri-City is the urban area situated on the Baltic coast and is one of Poland’s largest tourist attractions. Each of the three cities offers a very different atmosphere which makes it a very attractive area to both visitors and inhabitants.

The area knows a large number of traffic movements on a daily basis, especially in the city centers. These traffic movements cause traffic problems: congestion, accidents and no access to real-time information about public transport and where available parking spaces are available. To reduce and prevent these problems, the TRISTAR project was implemented.

Intelligent Transport System

The TRISTAR project consists of the deployment of an Intelligent Transport System (ITS). This project comprises five integrated systems to manage public transportation and maximize the utilization of the existing parking facilities. Nedap’s parking sensors provide real-time information about the usage of those parking facilities.

Nedap’s SENSIT consists of wireless parking sensors that detect in real-time whether or not a single parking bay is occupied and how long it has been occupied. Green Center’s parking guidance system was implemented with SENSIT. The system uses the real-time parking information to guide drivers to available parking spaces via dynamic signs along the roads.

Ido Wentink, Business Development Manager at Nedap, says: “We are delighted to have been selected for this mobility project in the Tri-City region of Gdansk. Thanks to our partner Green Center, the systems is already running for some time and proved its value for motorists looking for a parking space. I am sure Polish cities are ready to implement a reliable parking sensor system SENSIT in order to offer citizens great parking services and for operators to improve monitoring and enforcement in these zones.”

Increased traffic flow

By implementing Nedap’s SENSIT sensors with Green Center’s parking guidance system, the traffic flow in Tri-City has increased vastly. Less traffic congestion, and thus decreased pollution, ensure the city remains attractive to its residents and visitors. Additionally, parking utilization is optimized and enforcement can be done more efficiently.

“As the parking solutions integrator in the TRISTAR project, Green Center wanted to provide a reliable and proven solution for the cities motorists. Therefore, choosing Nedap’s parking sensor system was the right way to go for us. Nedap’s SENSIT turned out to be easy, quick to install and very flexible for integration with the other ITS TRISTAR platforms. Dynamic parking occupancy information allows drivers in Gdynia to find available parking spaces quicker and easier, bringing the obvious benefits to the city.” says Jakub Osuchowski, Technical director Green Center.
