Tattile Vega camera plugin allows integration in Milestone XProtect Smart Client

For today’s needs in monitoring traffic flow, toll enforcement and road incidents modern intelligent traffic systems (ITS) require both powerful hardware with camera systems capable to operate in any outdoor conditions and top-performing software solution to analyze all possible aspects of the images recorded by the cameras. Video management systems (VMS) with the flexibility to upgrade and add functionality such as provided by Milestone as an established supplier have become the preferred software choice for ITS operators to manage video data from any kind of traffic monitoring.

By combining the best in class hardware and software for ITS applications Tattile with its camera competence for outdoor traffic applications has concluded a common software development to fully integrate its Tattile Vega cameras with the Milestone XProtect Smart Client. The Tattile – XProtect Integration Plugin is a fully developed plugin to integrate the Tattile VEGA ANPR Cameras into Milestone XProtect enabling ITS operators to easily incorporate any number of VEGA cameras to automatically communicate with the Milestone VMS.

The Tattile Vega plug-in for Milestone XProtect Smart Client is certified by Milestone and is the result of two leading brands in the ITS sector joining forces. It allows users to draw on the multiple functionalities that come with the Tattile VEGA cameras. They not only receive and collect all the events from Tattile’s cameras but also manage previously uploaded number plate lists e.g. from violators and generate alarms; filter options on events and diagnostics; and making use of the Tattile Rigel real time traffic analyzer possibilities able to manage alarms and notifications triggered by a comprehensive list of traffic events. Beyond the precise ANPR-functions filters can be set in the VMS on analyzing the Tattile camera events by date/time of event; single/multiple camera events; vehicle class, brand, color and even vehicle model; as well as plate region, country and plate color.

In addition, the data generated by Tattile cameras is available in the Milestone VMS for any possible post-process analysis of the images. Video sequences can be reviewed, and all recordings are stored. The Tattile Vega plug-in for Milestone XProtect Smart Client can be requested in the Milestone Marketplace or via Tattile Sales Rep.

Salt Lake City International Airport Chooses Park Assist’s Parking Guidance System for its New Development

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – April 28th, 2020 – Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Salt Lake City International Airport’s latest parking garage. Salt Lake City is building a new International Airport (SLC) to replace the existing structure. Serving more than 26 million passengers a year, SLC also chose to include a 3,600-space parking garage in the new development. This parking facility, equipped with Park Assist’s camera based M4 PGS, is designed to meet Salt Lake City’s current and future needs with the flexibility to adapt with the ever-changing aviation industry.

As part of SLC’s effort to improve its passengers’ travel experience, Park Assist’s proprietary M4 PGS will serve to decrease parking search times and traffic in the garage and increase customer satisfaction. Along with the M4 technology, SLC’s parking guidance solution will also include two of Park Assist’s advanced software add-ons: Park FinderTM and Park AlertsTM.

The camera based M4 smart sensor system uses color-coded LED lights to guide drivers to vacant spaces; triggered to turn from red to green when spaces become available, these lights remove all confusion from the parking journey. Upon returning to the garage, these travelers will have an equally effortless experience finding their car by utilizing Park Assist’s Find Your Car software add-on. This advanced vehicle locator feature uses license plate recognition (LPR) technology to pinpoint each customer’s car. By simply entering all or part of their license plate number into the Park Assist system or mobile app, guests are directed to their vehicle’s exact location within the facility.

Additionally, Park Assist’s Park Alerts software extension allows the airport to gain valuable control and increase security in the garage. Using this add-on, parking management will be able to set and enforce automated rules and alerts. These alerts will immediately notify them of any policy violations so they can take the appropriate action, creating an efficient, safe, and secure facility.

“Park Assist is extremely excited to work with Salt Lake City International on this groundbreaking development. As the airport transforms for the future, Park Assist hopes to deliver an equally innovative parking experience. We are honored to be a part of SLC’s initiative and provide travelers with a state-of-the-art parking garage through our advanced technology,” said Jeff Sparrow, Regional Account Manager.

Site work is scheduled to begin this month and the installation is slated for completion for SLC’s grand opening in September 2020.

Parking App Collects Donations to Support Communities and Restaurants Impacted by COVID-19

VANCOUVER, April 23, 2020  – Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, PayByPhone, a leading global provider of mobile parking payment solutions, today announced it will partner with World Central Kitchen to help support the non-profit’s COVID-19 initiative. The #ChefsForAmerica effort is now serving 100,000 meals every day across the United States.

Founded by Chef José Andrés and his wife Patricia nearly a decade ago, World Central Kitchen and its partners are working to safely distribute individually packaged fresh meals in communities across the nation that need support. The effort enables children and families to pick up and take-home meals and includes delivering food to seniors who cannot venture outside.

The endeavor also includes putting restaurants – that otherwise might be temporarily closed or restricted to pickup orders – back in business through a coalition of restaurants and tech companies working to feed the hungry.

“Other than helping American families in need, it’s a blessing to join forces with other corporations across the country to deliver fresh, hot meals to feed frontline healthcare workers in hospitals and clinics so critical in this time,” said Erich Broksas, chief strategy officer, World Health Kitchen. “The outpouring of help from such a wide variety of partners like PayByPhone has been nothing short of amazing.”

PayByPhone is using its parking platform to collect donations across the United States to bolster the #ChefsForAmerica effort. PayByPhone users in Miami, San Francisco, Seattleand Washington, D.C. can log into the app and donate by using designated parking zone number 19. To stretch each donation, PayByPhone will match a portion of user donations through its app to the #ChefsForAmerica initiative. Please note, donors will not receive tax receipts for contributions made to World Central Kitchen.

“We want to do our part to help the communities we serve weather this storm,” said North American CEO Roamy Valera. “Our customers are looking for ways to help too, and this partnership lets them contribute in an easy way. Making a meaningful impact can happen right in the palm of your hands.”
