TIBA’s agile platform was the only choice providing the flexibility to manage daily transient, residential, contract, member, and a wide range of merchant validations in a high density, urban setting. Park Assist’s M4 Smart-Sensor System set to Transform Parking at Circa Resort & Casino’s Garage Mahal
LAS VEGAS, NV – – Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the Garage Mahal facility at Circa Resort & Casino. The new hotel and casino, currently under construction, is located on the famous Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. It will have 777 guest rooms, five restaurants, a two level casino with the largest sports book in Las Vegas and a nine story parking garage dubbed the Garage Mahal, where Park Assist’s camera based M4 smart-sensor system will be installed.
With this new state-of-the-art facility underway, Circa Resort & Casino was eager to utilize the most advanced technology for all aspects of the project. Park Assist’s proprietary M4 camera based PGS was the ideal fit. The M4 system, designed to provide far more than just parking guidance, will ensure that all customers experience enhanced service and increased satisfaction from the start of their journey to the end, as they enter and exit the facility.
Along with Park Assist’s M4 technology, the Garage Mahal installation will also include several of Park Assist’s popular add-on software modules: Park Finder™, Park Alerts™, and Park Surveillance™.
The camera based M4 smart-sensor system uses color-coded LED lights to guide drivers to vacant spaces. Prompted to change from red to green when spaces become available, these lights remove all uncertainty from the parking journey, reducing each customer’s search and park times. Upon returning to the garage, customers will be able to find their car just as quickly by utilizing Park Assist’s Find Your Car™ software add-on. This advanced vehicle locator feature uses license plate recognition (LPR) technology to pinpoint each customer’s car. Integrating with Circa’s PARCS system, guests simply enter all or part of their license plate number into a kiosk or mobile app and they are directed to their vehicle’s exact location within the facility.
Additionally, Park Assist’s Park Alerts and Park Surveillance software extensions provide an increased level of control and security in the garage. Using Park Alerts, parking management will be able to set and enforce automated rules and alerts – if any policies are violated they will be immediately notified so they can take the appropriate action. Park Assist’s Park Surveillance module brings an additional level of security by enabling the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any movement in or around parking bays, helping parking management efficiently deter and quickly react to criminal behavior.

Park Assist is working with GSL Electric to oversee the installation. Site work is already underway and the project is scheduled for completion by December 2020 for Circa Resort & Casino’s grand opening.

Orbility: Citywide modernisation without disruption
The entire parking system across the city of Cergy Pontoise has been modernised without any disruption to customers.
Innovative international parking company Orbility was selected by city parking operator EFFIA to equip its new parking management system throughout Cergy Pontoise, 30 km north of Paris, France, as part of a modernisation project, in autumn 2019, to upgrade an existing Orbility system which had been in place for a decade.
The system, across 20 car parks, a mixture of garages and parking lots, featured 105 separate pieces of equipment – including 32 entry lanes, 33 exit lanes, 20 Pay on foot stations, seven intermediate terminals and 13 pedestrian readers.
Stéphane Prudhomme, Project Director at Orbility, said: “The challenge was to switch from the old to new system in fewer than three months with no disruption to customers using the entire city’s parking options throughout the upgrade.”
A commuter hub, the city is home to a university and has a busy train station, metro links and buses.
Prudhomme added: “We worked via the deployment of three teams, therefore allowing the installation of three upgrades at the same time and focusing on two installations per week. With an established reputation and experience in this area, we were confident would complete the project seamlessly with no disruption to the service provided to daily users.”
Orbility brought added value and features to this upgrade with its Codex product range, selected for simplicity of installation and speed of operation, combined with Multipark Web parking management system.
This established and innovative technology encompasses licence plate reading, contactless credit card payment, a centralised server and centralised system monitoring, plus ParkAccess using web technology.
All the sites have a dedicated bicycle parking area which is accessible by using Navigo, the local public transportation card. It may be possible to use the transportation card as a subscription card for monthly parking customers.
Finally, the equipment was customised with specific colours to provide enhanced clarity for users on arrival, throughout the payment process and subsequent departure.

DESIGNA’s 65th birthday – From Kiel to the world
Kiel, 03/15/2016: Reliable, innovative, and with considerable know-how: that is the recipe for success with which DESIGNA Verkehrsleittechnik has established itself as a technological leader in the parking management industry. The internationally operating company is now celebrating its 65th birthday.
From Germany to Australia, from France to Italy and England, and also to the USA, DESIGNA parking systems control car parks on all five continents. More than 15,000 systems have already been successfully installed – and two more are being installed every day. Our customers include airports, shopping malls and also hotels, hospitals and local authorities.
It all started on a small scale: With just three employees, Heinz Bula and Gerhard Vogel founded “DESIGNA-Deutsche Signal- und Werbemittelgesellschaft mbH” in Kiel on 11th January 1951. Originally, the company manufactured traffic signs and advertising signs until the first fully automated parking system was presented about 40 years ago.
