CENTRAL STATES BUILDING WORKS NAMES AHMED ABDELAAL VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING AND OPERATIONS

TONTITOWN, AR – April 9, 2024Central States, a leader in metal building components, roofing, and building packages, has named Ahmed Abdelaal to the new role of Vice President of Engineering and Operations for the Central States Building Works division.  Ahmed will lead the group’s technical services including engineering, drafting, and detailing and will bring his know-how in automation, software, operations, and manufacturing to the business as preparations are made for the company’s new frame plant, planned to open in Springdale, Arkansas in the Spring of 2025.

“I’ve always believed in the power of innovation to create solutions, to overcome roadblocks, and work collaboratively,” Abdelaal said.  “Central States has a great reputation for metal building components and packages and is expanding upon this foundation to add new offerings, manufacturing capability, and know-how to serve our customers well.  I look forward to playing a role in this evolution of Central States Building Works.”

Ahmed brings almost three decades of industry experience working for some of the largest Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) companies in the United States and internationally.  He comes to Central States after spending the initial 11 years of his career at American Buildings Company (now Nucor) and Butler Manufacturing Company (now BlueScope Steel), where he held leadership positions in engineering and project management.  For the last 12 years, Ahmed has served global companies by building out factories and technical capabilities in executive operations roles. He has worked with large, multi-national commercial customers in retail, auto shops, warehouses & logistics facilities, car showrooms, sports arenas, entertainment facilities, aircraft hangars and manufacturing, leading commercial general contractors, and public entities, including the US military.

“We are excited to welcome Ahmed to the team. He has an outstanding track record driving technical excellence, assembling high-performing teams, and leading growth in the metal buildings industry,” said Jennifer Davis, President of Central States Building Works. “His expertise will be invaluable to our employee-owners and customers as we continue expanding our solutions and capabilities to meet the needs of our customers today and into the future.”

Central States Building Works designs and delivers material-only building packages across the United States for commercial, storage, agricultural, industrial, and other applications. The business unit was established in 2003 as Central Storage Works and was rebranded earlier this year in recognition of its expansion to additional building types and capabilities. Starting with an idea and a location, the business provides a full portfolio of services from initial estimating to drafting, and working through final contracting and engineering stamps, delivering all that is required to erect the building directly to the job site.  These custom kits include metal bolt-up buildings, rigid frame metal building systems, carports and garages, self-storage, and more. When combined with private label manufacturing capabilities, Building Works enables customers to grow their portfolio of offerings.  All Central States Building Works packages include metal building components, which are 100% recyclable and designed with sustainability in mind.

On November 15, 2023, Central States broke ground on a new 105,000-square-foot plant to support the fast-growing pre-engineered metal frame business. The factory, which will open in 2025, expects to grow to 140 employee-owners over the first few years of operation.

Central States, Inc. (www.centralstatesco.com) is 100% employee-owned and was founded in 1988. With over 1,400 employee-owners and 11 manufacturing facilities, the company serves over 6,000 commercial, architectural, post frame, and residential contractors and customers across the United States across three business operating units. Central States Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of metal building components with 14 metal roofing and wall panel profiles, along with a full line of trim, accessories, and structural purlin. Two new factories are under construction, including a frame plant for pre-engineered metal buildings. Central States Building Works provides material-only building packages for self-storage and metal building systems. In 2022, Central States acquired Elevate Structures (formerly Storage Structures, Inc.), a leader in self-storage offering the patent-pending Alpha Framing System.

TripShot Launches FlexRide, a New Transportation Solution for Campuses and Communities

FlexRide efficiently pools riders and ensures everyone arrives at their defined destination on time

SAN JOSE, Calif. April 2, 2024 – TripShot, an industry-leading transportation management solution for companies, universities and hospitals, has announced its latest feature, FlexRide.

TripShot’s FlexRide is an innovative new transit SaaS solution that automatically creates dynamic routes by factoring in user-requested pickup/drop-off locations and predetermined stops and times. For example, riders can submit a next-day pick-up request at their home, be dropped off at a pre-determined stop and arrive on time for their daily commitments. TripShot aggregates all similar requests, creates a dynamic route and notifies riders of their scheduled pickup time. The reverse can happen for commutes home.

FlexRide supports higher vehicle utilization and lower deadhead times for vehicle fleets. By pooling riders along a dynamic route, operators enjoy more efficient vehicle assignments and optimized scheduling. Adding FlexRide to TripShot can significantly improve rider convenience, allowing them to customize their transportation services to meet their unique needs. Since operations began in the Fall of 2023, an early-adopting customer’s average weekly growth rate for completed trips has been 17%. 93% of these trips received a 5-star rating from riders.

“FlexRide is a win-win for administrators, drivers and riders. It’s a revolutionary transit innovation seamlessly tailored to cater to today’s diverse commuters and passengers. Early adopters of FlexRide have found it operationally scalable and responsive while enhancing the rider experience, attracting new riders and ultimately helping employees to arrive ready for a productive day.” said Patrick Le, Co-Founder and General Manager at TripShot.

This new feature results from the company’s strong emphasis on innovation and focus on changing client needs. Initially built for corporate campuses of some of the world’s largest technology companies, TripShot now offers FlexRide as another mode of transportation for future-oriented corporations, universities, medical facilities, and other campuses.

“FlexRide is a paradigm-shifting transit innovation simultaneously prioritizing operational efficiency and rider convenience, ushering in a new era of forward-looking transit options,” added Rob Antoniak, Chief Customer Officer. “This game-changing innovation is a testament to our grit and determination to fulfill our mission to simply and efficiently solve transportation’s most pressing problems while redefining mobility for all.”

PayByCar Launches Off-Street Parking Pilot in Four States across the United States

March 20, 2024

PayByCar Launches Off-Street Parking Pilot in Four States across the United States

Company seeking next financing round to continue expansion

Boston, MA. PayByCar, Inc., the mobile payments company responsible for providing pay-by-text payments for in-vehicle fueling payments, along with the help of “Driven by E-ZPass™”, continues expansion into the off-street parking industry where the technology will be tested in at least four states in the United States throughout 2024.

“PayByCar enables millions of drivers with an E-ZPass transponder to effortlessly park and pay without the need for cumbersome cash transactions, scanning QR codes, inserting tickets, or paying with phone apps, which not only optimizes convenience and efficiency but also addresses the increasing demand for more efficient contactless payment solutions,” said Anand Raman, President and Chief Operating Officer of PayByCar.

The company is currently testing its payments management platform for drivers in several major markets in the Eastern United States rolling out pilot projects at commercial parking locations and transportation centers. The company is looking to reshape the parking experience for garage owners, operators, and customers with continued investor partnerships.

Following PayByCar’s innovative implementation of mobile payments technology responsible for providing pay-by-text payments at gas stations across Massachusetts, the company has made waves in the fintech and fueling industry following successful partnerships with organizations like the 19-state E-ZPass Group, Alltown Mobil, and others.

“The upcoming financing round will support PayByCar’s rapid expansion throughout the East Coast this next 12 months to hundreds of additional fueling stations and parking facilities, and to accelerate our growth in consumer membership to upwards of a million people,” Raman said.

By simplifying the on-arrival ticketing & subsequent payment experience, PayByCar can dramatically improve traffic flow during peak times, improving customer satisfaction by eliminating logjams that often occur when multiple vehicles leave a parking garage simultaneously. Over time PayByCar expects the impact on through-put in event parking to be every bit as dramatic as electronic tolling has been in eliminating long toll lines on highways.

With the trend towards frictionless, contactless payments, the company’s payment orchestration platform has the potential to simplify the overall parking experience for drivers while increasing authorizations and minimizing lost revenue for parking operators.

PayByCar is currently available for use in select gas stations throughout Massachusetts where it has proven its technology streamlines the overall gas purchase experience. The technology offers users a secure and convenient pay-by-text mobile payment method for gas purchases.
