The transaction combines two leaders in parking management, aligning Allpro’s operational expertise, strong leadership and community-minded service with Premium’s full-stack, customer-first technology.

The acquisition also expands Premium’s presence across the Midwest and Northeast, creating the nation’s largest network of entrepreneur-led parking markets.

The executive leadership team welcomes Michael Collins as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of M&A. Michael has extensive experience over the past 20 years as a product and corporate strategy consultant, including having worked at Microsoft, HP, Yahoo! and several startups with successful exits.

In this role, Michael will shape Premium’s strategies around corporate development and strategy, product development, customer engagement, and IT to further entrench Premium as the most integrated parking solutions provider in the market.

As Premium positions itself to ramp up growth, there are also three new Vice Presidents:

  • ●  Alva Johnson joins from REEF Technology, where he was a Regional Director, and previously Regional Vice President at SP+ (SP Plus).

DOWNTOWN PENSACOLA IMPROVEMENT BOARD INTRODUCES NEW PUBLIC PARKING PROGRAM

 

 

Premium Parking to provide new integrated parking management solution and mobile payment platform

 

 

 

Pensacola, FL – March 1, 2018 – Beginning March 1, Downtown Pensacola and Premium Parking, a New Orleans, Louisiana based parking management provider, will transition to a new digital parking management platform for Downtown Pensacola’s on-street, public lots, and garage parking operations. As part of this market launch, Premium Parking has established a local office and management team based in Downtown Pensacola. The team will oversee operations in the City of Pensacola, Florida and the Gulf Coast.

 

Downtown Pensacola will also launch Premium’s mobile payment solutions on its paid parking footprint, offering locals and visitors easy ways to pay by phone—via text or mobile app—using their license plate. Additionally, parkers can continue to use traditional payment methods via local pay machines. As part of the transition, Downtown Pensacola will install new, customer-friendly signage that showcases the new ways to pay.

In addition, Downtown Pensacola will deploy Premium’s proprietary frictionless “GLIDEparcs” solution at Jefferson Street Garage (53 S Jefferson Street) which will eliminate the need for entry and exit gates. Visitors can park, pay by license plate via TextPay or app, or at a nearby pay machine, before walking away. Premium will work directly with monthly customers to create online accounts and obtain license plates for those parkers as well.  With an active parking session, guests are free to exit or re-enter freely, without waiting in line, stopping to secure a ticket, or queuing to exit.

 

 

Pay via TextPay

Visitors can quickly pay via text by sending “park” to the mobile shortcode “504504.” Parkers are then prompted to enter their location number, license plate, select a session duration, and enter payment info, before walking away.

 

 

Pay via Mobile App

The fastest and easiest way to park regularly is via Premium Parking’s mobile app, available for free download on iPhone (Apple App Store) or Android (Google Play). Parkers can easily save their vehicle information, find locations numbers, pay and extend their parking sessions.

 

Pay at the Machine (cash, coin or credit card)

Traditional pay machines and on-street coin meters are still accessible as payment methods where available. When parkers pay at a machine, they will continue to display the ticket receipt on their dash before walking away.

 

Parkers at coin meters can also pay via TextPay or Premium’s mobile app. Parking enforcement officials will be notified of a parker’s payment and can confirm an active session via license plate.

 

With the unprecedented growth for daily and transient parking demand on downtown’s main business and entertainment corridors, Downtown Pensacola will also have access to dynamic data to analyze revenue and utilization, providing direction for future new policies on parking rates, hours and allowed length of stay, which may vary by location.

Premium Parking is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent Paxton as Chief Business Development Officer. Brent has over 25 years of experience in parking and real estate management, and currently sits on the International Parking Institute’s Board of Directors.

To aid in the continued growth of the company, Premium Parking has deepened their leadership team with the addition of Brent. In his new role, he will be responsible for the development and implementation of a national growth strategy, while continuing to increase the company’s presence in its current markets. He will be involved in the expansion of the company’s technology platform and operational prowess into new markets and parking sectors. Utilizing his industry knowledge, he will also strengthen existing relationships and develop new connections with parking stakeholders in key Premium operating markets.

During that time, Brent helped spearhead the growth of the organization from its early-stages to over 40 million annual transactions across 2,500 locations in the U.S.
