 Kevin Gordon’s career in the parking industry spans over fifteen years, beginning in 2002. As a member of Mile Hi Valet Service, he oversaw more than ten hotels in Northern California, after a transfer from Washington, D.C. During this time, Kevin lead a team of more than 300 employees. 

Prior to joining Propark, Kevin served as Vice President for Towne Park. Throughout his career with the company, Kevin was responsible for the oversight of prestigious hospitality properties and hospitals across California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. During this time, Kevin oversaw more than 70 assets, over 100 salaried leaders and 1,500-plus employees.

(Jacksonville, FL) – Propark America announced today that it has recently commenced management of the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) Cruise Terminal parking facility in Jacksonville, Florida.

 

“As a leader in parking management services here in Jacksonville, we’re particularly excited about JAXPORT’s cruise ship parking operation,” said Propark’s Regional Vice President, David Horn. “We realize that the parking operator has a responsibility to serve as anambassador for the City of Jacksonville, and that’s a role that Propark is proud tofill.”

 

In addition to providing its signature premium service delivery, honed over decades of providing travel-related parking services to airports and cruise terminals across the country, Propark realized the opportunity to implement a new revenue control equipment upgrade at JAXPORT’s 512-space parking facility. The improvement is anticipated to not only provide complete financial accountability, but also reduce the dependence on third-party reservation service providers, which will result in significant savings for the Port Authority. Furthermore, the new technology will reduce transaction times by 50% allowing for smoother parking ingress and egress, which will help to enhance guest satisfaction.

 

“Propark’s software enhancements will help the Jacksonville Port Authority realize annual savings in excess of six-figures by allowing the parking operation’s booking system to function independently,” explained Horn. “Through our new technology application, Propark will also accurately protect revenue and provide complete accounting transparency, further developing substantial gains to JAXPORT’s bottom line.”

 

The JAXPORT Cruise Terminal has served more than 2 million passengers, who travel to Jacksonville from all 50 states. With 77 sailing dates for Carnival Cruise Line, the new economic impact generated for Northeast Florida totals $67 million annually.

Hartford, Connecticut – Propark America announced today that David Horn has joined the company as the new regional vice president, overseeing the Jacksonville market and select near airport facilities within the company’s portfolio.

David has over twenty years of experience in the parking industry, most recently serving as the regional general manager of USAPARK Airport Parking, where he was responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of parking assets across the country. David previously served as the general manager of ParkSpace Airport Shuttle Parking, and prior to that, he was the city manager for Parkway Corporation, where he was responsible for operating an assortment of thirteen parking facilities.

 

“David’s experience with near-airport parking operations and shuttle transportation programs aligns seamlessly with our operational and business development goals,” continued DiPietro. “We expect our existing operations to become more profitable, while David helps to enlarge our footprint in new, exciting markets in the southeast. David Horn received his degree in business administration and management at Robert Morris University. Drew Riley received his degree in economics and finance at Hampden-Sydney College. MCCA Announces Propark America as new operator of the Boston Common Garage and Lot on D

 

Boston- After a competitive process, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) is pleased to announce that it has selected Propark America to administer parking operations at the Boston Common Garage (BCG), and the new Lot on D located across from the popular outdoor destination, the Lawn on D Powered by Citizens Bank. Propark assumed operations of both parking facilities on August 1, 2016 under a three-year contract, with the MCCA holding two one-year options to extend.

 

Propark offered the lowest competitive bid to operate both parking facilities allowing the MCCA to save in excess of $100,000 annually while continuing to provide an excellent customer experience. As emphasized in their bid for operations, Propark made it a point during the transition to retain almost all of the BCG staff. The Lot on D features an automated entrance and exit gate that will be paired with a New England based call center to provide customer support.

“We are excited to partner with a renowned organization in the parking industry,” said David Gibbons, Executive Director of the MCCA. “Our contract with Propark delivers real benefits not only to the MCCA’s bottom line but also the thousands of customers who frequent our parking facilities every day.”
