Propark Mobility Grows Los Angeles Presence by Acquiring Imperial Parking Industries, Inc.

 

 

Los Angeles, Calif. – Propark Mobility announced today that the company has purchased Los Angeles-based Imperial Parking Industries, Inc. (IPI), expanding its area portfolio by 75 percent.

“As a leader in the Los Angeles area, Imperial Parking offers a regional expertise that, when combined with Propark’s national network and back-end systems, will propel both companies forward,” said David Schmid, Propark’s Chief Investment Officer. “Building these meaningful, beneficial connections is a core component of Propark’s mission, and we felt it was more important than ever to approach this conversation with honesty and transparency so we could do right by Imperial’s founders, honor their legacy, and continue our growth in the L.A. market.”

Founded in 1997, Imperial Parking has provided leading parking management services to premium properties throughout the Los Angeles area, including a strong focus in Beverly Hills. The company operates 34 locations, which include healthcare facilities and Class A office buildings, as well as residential and commercial properties. As part of the acquisition, Propark will retain 100 percent of IPI’s frontline staff, with President Kia Shakoori remaining at the helm.

Propark Mobility announced today that Brenda Freije has been promoted to Vice President of Business Analytics.

“Brenda has been a remarkable team member and leader throughout her time at Propark,” said Stephen Duffy, Propark’s Chief Strategy Officer. “Her commitment to the success of our clients’ operations and her dedication to continuing Propark’s rapid growth make her the ideal person for this position. I look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in this new role.”

After joining Propark in 2019, Brenda quickly became an integral member of the company’s Business Analytics Division. Her keen attention to detail, extensive knowledge of the field, and versatile analytical talents have driven her success at the company, where she most recently served as Director of Business Analytics.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – CampusParc, the concessionaire for the Long-Term Parking Lease at The Ohio State University, announced today that it has selected Propark Mobility to operate The Ohio State University Parking System effective January 1, 2023. Over the past nine years, CampusParc has focused on partnering with the university to provide efficient delivery of parking services and products, while exploring new approaches that move towards a more seamless and simple parking experience for customers.

Alexander joined Propark Mobility in October of 2011, first serving as Area Manager, which included the successful launch of a new airport parking brand in the New Jersey marketplace. His responsibilities grew to encompass the entire New Jersey Region, as Alexander was promoted to Regional Manager, where his performance excelled across asset verticals resulting in enhanced profitability for clients and increased guest satisfaction scores. $1,000 for Foodshare, Greater Hartford’s largest anti-hunger organization, at the recent Park & View Family Movie Night at Z Airport Parking in East Granby, Connecticut.

 

“With everything taking place in today’s world, we felt that we could take our empty parking lot and, for one night, convert it into an entertaining family experience before we reopened for business at Bradley Airport,” explained John Schmid, Chief Executive Officer of Propark Mobility. “Through sponsorships and donations, we were able to take a fun night and turn it into something even more meaningful by giving back to our community.”

 

The Park & View Family Movie Night at Z Airport Parking featured a showing of the 1987 classic movie, Spaceballs. The event was sponsored by a variety of local businesses, including Feury Image Group, Preferred Electric and Go Graphix, and was attended by over one-hundred people. Staff from Propark Mobility’s corporate headquarters in Hartford volunteered time at the event.

 

“Propark’s ‘Carma’ charitable outreach program is important to us, and to have some of our trusted vendors join us in our cause to fight hunger during this global pandemic was inspirational,” said Joe Coppola, Propark Mobility’s Managing Partner. “We’re honored to be able to work alongside some great businesses to raise money for Foodshare to provide up to 2,000 meals to help fight hunger here in Connecticut, and we had a lot of fun doing so.”

Tamer began his career in February 2000 as a valet driver and quickly ascended to Account Manager for the University of Connecticut parking system. Through his dedication and hard work, Shaban became Area Manager for the Western Massachusetts Region, prior to his position as Regional Manager for the Boston, Massachusetts and Rhode Island Region. Most recently, Tamer served as Regional Vice President for Propark Mobility.

Heidi’s career with Propark began in October of 1992, where she started as an Office Generalist. Her role evolved, as she held positions of Accounts Receivable Manager, Office Manager, Client Reporting Manager and Real Estate Director. Heidi was appointed to Vice President of Sales and Customer Services prior to her most recent role as Regional Vice President of Operations for the company.

San Francisco, California – Propark Mobility announced today that Kevin Gordon has been named as the company’s Senior Vice President of Operations, West Region.

Kevin Gordon’s career in the parking industry spans almost two decades, beginning in 2002. As a member of Mile Hi Valet Service, he oversaw more than ten hotels in Northern California, after a transfer from Washington, D.C. During this time, Kevin lead a team of more than 300 employees. 

Prior to joining Propark, Kevin served as Vice President for another parking management company, where he was responsible for the oversight of prestigious hospitality properties and hospitals across California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. During this time, Kevin oversaw more than 70 assets, over 100 salaried leaders and 1,500-plus employees.
