New Parking Technology Integration Company Will Assemble and Install Customized Parking Technology Systems for Parking Owners and Operators

Dallas, TX (November 22, 2022)—Automating parking garages and lots just got much more effective, simpler, and more affordable with the launch of Professional Parking Technologies LLC (ProParking), a new parking technology company that’s introducing an innovative approach to building parking technology systems. Led by former executives from leading national parking operators and parking technology experts, the company’s leaders know first-hand how technology impacts parking operations. ProParking delivers comprehensive parking systems comprised of multiple technologies that parking owners and operators need to meet their unique needs.

“We are taking the guesswork out of choosing parking technologies,” said Brent Van Loggerenberg, ProParking’s managing partner. “Owners and operators often find it challenging to know which technologies would best meet their needs. And even when tools are selected, they aren’t always able to make them work well together. We take the guesswork out of selecting parking technologies by evaluating customers’ current and future needs and creating comprehensive systems and best-of-breed tools that will meet those needs.”

ProParking sells, installs, and services leading parking technology brands, including IP Parking. IP Parking’s access and revenue control technology combines state-of-the-art hardware and intuitive, easy- to-operate software to provide the most user-friendly customer experience. In addition to IP Parking’s industry-leading PARCS equipment, ProParking also sells, installs, and services, Parking Guidance technology, EV Charging solutions, Cellular Augmentation Solutions and cloud-based Parking Management platforms and apps.

ProParking is led by Brent Van Loggerenberg and Blair Taylor, two well-known parking technology leaders. Based in Dallas, Texas, Van Loggerenberg is a well-known parking technology leader who has spent the last 20 years creating and installing technology systems for private owners, government organizations, hospitals, universities, and airports across the United States. Taylor is a career-long parking executive who has helped lead some of the parking industry’s leading companies over the past 30 years, including SKIDATA, SP+, Colonial Parking, and Central Parking.

“Automating parking allows owners and operators to provide a better parking experience, while operating parking assets more efficiently and cost-effectively,” said Blair Taylor. “And with the impending introduction of smart cities, self-driving vehicles, and other vehicle technology, automation will soon become even more important. Our comprehensive approach takes the uncertainty out of choosing the right technologies in automating your parking facilities.”

Based in Dallas, ProParking also has offices in Atlanta and will soon open offices in Los Angeles. The company works with parking owners and operators across the United States.

QUERCUS TECHNOLOGIES ROUNDS OUT ITS OUTDOOR GUIDANCE SYSTEM WITH AN INFORMATION TOTEM

November 22, 2022

QUERCUS TECHNOLOGIES ROUNDS OUT ITS OUTDOOR GUIDANCE SYSTEM WITH AN INFORMATION TOTEM

To make its offering in guidance solutions even more comprehensive, Quercus Technologies is launching its outdoor digital information Totem. The Totem informs users entering and driving through an outdoor parking lot on the availability of parking spaces on the main and secondary aisleways, and restricted areas, and the direction to take to reach them, in real time. This is a major step forward to streamline mobility and automate the parking facility.

The information signage that can be achieved with the Totem is especially designed for outdoor or rooftop parking facilities, where parking guidance systems are needed that help improve the parking process and maximize occupation of the available space. One of the most common complaints that parking users make about the facilities is the lack of directional signposting at key points of the lot or garage. Digital signage brings much more from a guidance perspective than directions painted on the floor or on columns which, in fact, are easy for drivers to overlook. The signaling achieved with equipment like the Totem can be set at the height of drivers’ eyes. It is a catalyst for increased visibility by the user and with it, a better overall parking experience.

The Totem shows the number of available spaces and the direction to
take to locate them in real time. It is a visual guide that offers directions
to drivers accessing the parking facility, which makes it much easier and
convenient to find a parking space in record time. The SC Outdoor system sends all of the information on parking space availability to the Quercus Technologies parking software platform, where the data gathered are processed and transformed into useful information shown by the Totem in real time. This management system centralizes and inter-relates the information gathered by all of the products that make up the comprehensive parking solution, to have a complete, and much more accurate control over the parking lot.

page1image62332848 page1image55634048

A Totem’s added value lies in its interoperability with the rest of the products that make up the outdoor parking solution through the BirdWatch software platform. The perfect combination of SC Outdoor cameras, matrix LED panels and now, the Totem, all adds up to increased satisfaction of parking facility users, by cutting down on congestion and raising vehicle rotation rates inside the parking facility. It should also be noted that the outdoor guidance system dovetails with the equivalent indoor system in the case of mixed parking garages.

The different functionalities of BirdWatch, along with this new device for outdoor use, enables the generation of reports that identify parking usage patterns, and with them, continued work on improvements that raise profitability, achieve efficient parking management and added security on the premises where they are deployed.

| How does the outdoor guidance system improve with a Totem?

  • Space occupation notification for parking lot operators and users.
  • Display of data in real time.
  • It can be combined with other types of signage already being used in the parking facility.
  • Promotes dynamic parking space searches.
  • Designed to be high performance, and high-visibility, in outdoor use scenarios.
  • Indication of available spaces with 2 digits and colors (green, orange or red). Colors will change depending on the availability of parking spaces.
  • Designed specifically for outdoor and rooftop parking facilities.
  • Compatibility around the world (according to the regulations of each country).Installation of a Totem meets one of the key requirements for optimal parking operation and management. Digital signposting empowers parking facility operators to show their essential information at key points such as entrances, or at intersections. Totem technology is suited to any outdoor parking area, and can either be installed at the center of the lot or to one side of the sidewalk.

Tattile: Highway traffic management in Republic of Srpska

November 15, 2022

Tattile: Highway traffic management in Republic of Srpska

Six lane controlled-access highway in Poland.

In order to better utilize the capacity of the traffic network, improve the overall performance of the traffic system in all conditions, as well as to raise the level of traffic safety, advanced traffic management systems or Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) are utilized to monitor, control and manage the traffic flow. The ITS system on the highway Banja Luka – Doboj covers the section from the Tovira interchange (Johovac) to the Kostajnica (Rudanka) interchange. It includes, within a single platform, integrated systems for traffic monitoring, management of variable traffic signals, speed control and traffic lanes usage definition, road weather condition measurement and informing traffic participants about them, video surveillance, detection of traffic parameters and a system for oversized vehicle detection. The ITS system is modular and adaptable in terms of functionality and size, enabling it to expand and adapt to future infrastructure requirements.

The integrated automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology is part of the ITS system, which automatically takes pictures of each passing vehicle’s front, angle, or rear. Its processing software automatically detects and reads the vehicle license plates and takes action depending on the recognition results, e.g., transfer of results to the central system for further processing. The cameras used are intelligent Tattile Smart 2HD, a model specifically designed for outdoor installation and reliable performance day and night in all weather conditions. The Tattile Smart 2HD cameras enable vehicle data collection at a maximum vehicle speed of 250 km/h. Cameras are installed on portals and pillars and work 24 hours / 7 days a week. In the next step, the highway operator Autoputevi Republike Srpske plans to further exploit the abilities of the Tattile Smart Cameras by activating system functionalities such as recognition of vehicle brand and color as well as vehicle class. Also, average speed measurement or section speed control is currently planned to be installed using the Tattile camera technology. Such additional information may be particularly useful to a third party, such as, e.g., traffic police, in performing their duties. In addition to further expanding the data generation on the current highway section, the highway operator intends to expand the entire system to more highway sections in the Republic of Srpska.

ParkDSM, Des Moines, Iowa’s, Parking App Powered by ParkMobile, Expands Partnership to Offer Parking Reservations

Users are now able to reserve parking in advance of events at Iowa Events Center via the ParkDSM app.

Des Moines, IA – November 15, 2022 – ParkMobile, the #1 parking app in the U.S., has expanded its partnership with ParkDSM, a parking app for the City of Des Moines, to offer parking reservations throughout the City of Des Moines. Through ParkDSM, reservations can be made for upcoming events at the Iowa Events Center, and more public and private off-street locations will be added soon. Reservations can be made via the ParkDSM app.

“As a result of the success of ParkDSM, we’ve expanded the app’s features to offer parking reservations throughout the city,” says John Davis, City Traffic Engineer from the City of De Moines. “Since launching ParkDSM in April, our residents have adopted the parking app and have been using it regularly. We’re excited to introduce parking reservations now and utilize another one of the great features ParkMobile offers.”

ParkMobile has grown rapidly across Iowa this year, with 180,000 users in the state and over 77,000 users in Des Moines. The app is available in Ames, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Iowa City, and Sioux City. The ParkDSM app can also be used to pay for parking anywhere ParkMobile is accepted. ParkMobile has over 41 million users across North America, is available for both iPhone and Android devices, and can also be accessed on a mobile web browser.

Reserving a parking space is quick and easy. A user can go to the “reserve” tab of the ParkDSM app to view a full list of upcoming events with all the available parking options. To make a parking reservation, users search for the event venue in the ParkDSM app and select the space they’d like to park in. After the user books the reservation, it can be redeemed at the location using a mobile pass in the ParkMobile app or a printed permit.

“The ParkDSM app uses the same incredible technology as ParkMobile, so we’re thrilled to see the City of Des Moines add another one of our features to their city-branded parking app,” adds David Hoyt, Chief Revenue Officer and Managing Director, North America for ParkMobile. “We look forward to continuing our expansion across Iowa and the Midwest Region.”

Beam Global Receives $2.9M Order from U.S. Department of Homeland Security for Sustainable EV Charging Infrastructure Products*

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 14, 2022  — Beam Global, (Nasdaq: BEEM, BEEMW), the leading provider of innovative sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging, energy storage, energy security and outdoor media, announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has ordered 32 Beam EV ARC™ sustainable off-grid charging systems and 3 ARC Mobility™ trailers for efficient system transport. The systems will be deployed across 8 locations for Customs Border Patrol (CBP), Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). EO 14057 Catalyzing Clean Energy Industries and Jobs Through Federal Sustainabilityprioritizes federal investment in energy resilient infrastructure for EV charging, powered by locally produced and delivered renewable energy for America’s next generation electricity supply. The purchase was made through the General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Contract Number 47QSWA21D0006 which simplifies the federal procurement process and ensures best pricing.

The DHS charging systems will be deployed in Georgia, Maryland, New Mexico, South Carolina, and 4 locations in Puerto Rico. The Beam EV ARC™ systems are off-grid and powered by renewable energy, generating and storing their own clean electricity. Each system is deployed with no construction, no electrical work, no utility connection, and is delivered as a turnkey sustainable charging system that is rapidly deployed. Because EV ARC™ systems are flood proof to 9.5 feet and wind rated to 125 mph, and have survived much higher wind speeds in the field, they are particularly well suited to provide disaster preparedness in environments like Puerto Rico. The ARC Mobility™ trailer is a specialized hydraulic transport system designed to efficiently relocate EV ARC™ charging systems.

“Our products are perfect for Executive Order (14057) for a Clean Energy Economy: resilient, clean, sustainable and rapidly deployed EV charging infrastructure solutions,” said Desmond Wheatley, Beam Global CEO. “We continue to see increasing federal GSA orders and pipeline opportunities citing federal initiatives. Our sustainable EV charging solutions create American manufacturing jobs to build American made products that serve zero emission transportation with 100% locally generated renewable and resilient energy.”

The federal fleet is comprised of approximately 657,500 vehicles. President Biden’s Executive Order 14057 with its accompanying Federal Sustainability Plan calls for 100% zero-emission vehicle acquisitions by 2035, including 100% light-duty acquisitions by 2027. This is prioritizing and accelerating a Federal Clean Electricity and Vehicle Procurement Strategy, calling for clean and zero emissions vehicles (ZEVs) for federal, state, local and tribal government fleets, including vehicles of the United States Postal Service.

Beam products can be procured through the General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Contract Number 47QSWA21D0006 which simplifies the federal procurement process and ensures best pricing.

ŠKODA launches new Pay to Park service in Europe in collaboration with Parkopedia

November 10, 2022

ŠKODA launches new Pay to Park service in Europe

  • ●  The service allows users to pay for parking via the MyŠKODA App or their vehicle’s infotainment system
  • ●  Following a pilot phase in Switzerland, the service is now available in seven European countries, with plans to expand it to eight more European markets
  • ●  Collaboration with international connected car services provider Parkopedia

10 November 2022 – Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic / London, UK

The new ŠKODA Connect service Pay to Park now makes parking easier in several European countries: ŠKODA customers can use the MyŠKODA App or their car’s infotainment system to display parking options, view the fees and pay conveniently. After a pilot phase in Switzerland, the service is now also available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany and Norway. ŠKODA and Parkopedia are continuing to expand the service, with eight more countries coming soon.

Martin Jahn, ŠKODA AUTO Board Member for Sales and Marketing, emphasises: “Thanks to the new ŠKODA Connect feature Pay to Park, our customers can now find available parking spaces across Europe even faster and pay conveniently online using our MySKODA App or the infotainment system.”

    Further expansion planned

Following a successful pilot phase, ŠKODA AUTO is initially introducing Pay to Park in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany and Norway. This will soon expand to a further eight countries – France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden – before ŠKODA rolls out the service in other European markets in 2023.

App available in the infotainment and on mobile phone

Customers can use the service via the MySKODA App on their smartphone or the current Amundsen and Columbus infotainment systems. The in-car app is now available for the FABIA, KAMIQ, SCALA, OCTAVIA, KAROQ, SUPERB and KODIAQ.

    Easy registration

To use Pay to Park, customers must have an active ŠKODA Connect account and have remote vehicle access enabled. Once the payment data is collected in the MyŠKODA App and the service is activated, it can also be accessed instantly via the infotainment system, and ŠKODA drivers can see which parking spaces they can pay for online. When they reach a parking location, the driver can select the parking time and extend it using the app if necessary. Payment is made online after the parking session has ended.

Cleverciti Bringing Good Parking Luck to Major Irish Shopping Centre

November 06, 2022

Cleverciti Bringing Good Parking Luck to Major Irish Shopping Centre

Cleverciti is excited to bring our innovative parking technology solutions to the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin, Ireland! Liffey Valley is one of Ireland’s largest shopping destinations, with more than 80 stores, 20 restaurants, and a state-of-the-art movie theater.

Cleverciti worked with Liffey Valley owner and global real estate investment firm Hines to implement our innovative solutions across the development’s nearly 3,000 parking spaces across four parking lots. This initiative transforms the way parking is utilized within the development, creating a more efficient, sustainable, and pleasant parking operation.

Hines’ goal is to provide the best experiences possible from arrival to departure for its thousands of annual visitors. Parking plays a vital role in every visit to a destination, and can ultimately determine whether or not someone chooses to return. Further, providing real-time parking availability information helps to reduce the amount of time people spend looking for parking, allowing them to be on their way to their destination, while reducing carbon emissions associated with circling and vehicle idling. This initiative complements the centre’s existing Park Easy parking management system, providing convenient touchless parking options for visitors.

For this project, Cleverciti integrated our cutting edge, pole-mounted Cleverciti Sensors. The sensors monitor the parking occupancy throughout the parking areas, complemented by ClevercitiTotem LED signage. Visitors can arrive at the parking lot and be greeted by dynamic signage providing the number and location of available parking spaces in real-time.

Each Cleverciti Sensor can monitor up to 100 parking spaces, and easily be installed on existing infrastructure including lampposts, buildings, or masts. With a range of up to 220 degrees, the sensors can measure the exact GPS position of each available parking space and relay that information to the LED signage.

In addition to the sensors and signage, Cleverciti is providing our Cleverciti Cockpit parking management system and dashboard. This solution not only provides the property owner and operator with real-time parking occupancy information, but it also provides comprehensive parking data valuable to evaluate patterns, optimize the parking operation, implement dynamic pricing to maximize revenues, and identify and correct any issues. The Cockpit also provides stakeholders with analytical insights, full reporting features, heatmaps, and a live view dashboard.

Blink Charging Collaborates with Hubject to Provide Plug&Charge Across the Blink Network in North America and Europe

October 31, 2022

Blink Charging Collaborates with Hubject to Provide Plug&Charge Across the Blink Network in North America and Europe

Miami Beach, FL, Oct. 31, 2022  — Blink Charging Co.(NASDAQ: BLNK, BLNKW) (Blink), a leading owner, operator and provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment and services, and Hubject, an open IT platform provider, today announced a collaborative agreement to provide Blink customers in the United States and Europe with the Plug&Charge functionality and grow the Plug&Charge ecosystem.

The Plug&Charge feature is based on the ISO 15118 protocol, which allows a fully automated charging process, as the authentication begins as soon as the driver connects their vehicle to the Blink charging station. This allows EV drivers to leave their RFID cards and smartphone apps in their pockets providing an even more convenient charging experience for Blink users.

A Plug&Charge enabled vehicle is equipped with a set of certificates that transmit the customer’s contract data directly to the charging station providing greater security over the authentication via RFID card, app or credit card. The subsequent payment is also handled automatically through Blink Charging. By fully automating authentication, Plug&Charge creates a charging process that is very convenient, easy to handle, and entirely hassle-free for the driver.

“This collaboration will be an added benefit for EV drivers who charge with Blink chargers,” said Michael D. Farkas, CEO and Founder of Blink Charging. Mr. Farkas added that “Hubject’s Plug&Charge service will enable Blink users with vehicles capable of using Plug&Charge to charge their EVs without the need of an RFID card or using an app, making the charging experience even more convenient.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Blink Charging to offer their drivers a seamless Plug&Charge experience across their expansive North American and European networks,” said Trishan Peruma, CEO of Hubject Inc. “Creating an effortless charging experience for EV drivers lowers the barriers of EV adoption. The more straightforward the process, the more people will be convinced to join in the mobility transition.”
