SP+ Selected to Manage Parking Services for the City of Atlanta

 

 

CHICAGO, June 14, 2017  — SP Plus Corporation (SP+), (Nasdaq:SP), a leader in parking management, ground transportation and ancillary services, announced its selection by the City of Atlanta to manage the City’s on-street parking program. The municipal division of SP+ will provide parking enforcement, meter maintenance, collection and citation processing services.

The five-year partnership has been formed to upgrade Atlanta’s 2,400 metered parking spaces—ultimately, providing residents and visitors with a state-of-the-art smart parking system. Immediate upgrades include the conversion to a program using license plate recognition technology for enforcement. Over the coming months, SP+ plans to meet with neighborhood stakeholders to discuss the impact of the new program, enhanced customer service and operational efficiency.

Jeff Eckerling Joins SP+ as Senior Vice President of Revenue & Growth

 

 

CHICAGO, Oct. 07, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SP Plus Corporation (SP+), (Nasdaq:SP), a leader in parking management, ground transportation and ancillary services, today announced the appointment of Jeff Eckerling to serve in the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Revenue and Growth.

 

Mr. Eckerling is tasked with developing strategies to optimize revenue growth opportunities for the Company and its clients. This would include pricing optimization, demand analysis and generation, marketing services and sales channel management. He brings a 20-year progressive career with experience leading start-ups and e-commerce companies, most recently serving as the President at Lift Technologies (now known as Uplift Data Partners) in Chicago. Mr. Eckerling was on the forefront of developing the science of revenue optimization while at Orbitz, where he joined the company in the pre-launch phase and helped it grew to an over $1 billion business.

Strategic Alliance With MGM Resorts International Results In Parking Management Of 40,000 Spaces Along Vegas Strip

SP+ will operate approximately 40,000 parking spaces located in 12 premier resort properties that are among the largest in the world — such as Bellagio, MGM Grand Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay, Delano, Luxor, Excalibur, and ARIA Resort & Casino — all situated along the famous Las Vegas Strip. In addition to serving resort guests, the spaces will accommodate spectators attending the Strip’s newly constructed, 20,000 seat T-Mobile Arena entertainment, special event and sports complex that is scheduled to open next month.

SP+ Municipal Services Selected to Manage Parking and Transportation Program for Annapolis

 

CHICAGO — SP Plus Corporation (SP+), (Nasdaq:SP), a leader in parking management, ground transportation and ancillary services, announced that SP+ Municipal Services has been awarded a long-term contract to manage a new comprehensive parking program for the City of Annapolis, MD. The program encompasses management of approximately 2,000 off-street and on-street parking spaces as well as the provision of shuttle bus, marketing and reservation/on-demand services.

SP+ University Services, an operating group of SP Plus Corporation to provide campus shuttle bus service at California State University, Fresno

SP+ University Services, an operating group of SP Plus Corporation (NASDAQ: SP), a leader in parking management, ground transportation and other ancillary services, announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide campus shuttle bus service at California State University, Fresno, branded as “Bulldog Express.”

 

“With over ten percent of our student population living within one mile of campus, Bulldog Express provides a free and easy solution for students to get to campus without having to pay to park.” said Tom Gaffery, the University’s Parking & Transportation Manager. “This is one of Fresno State’s many initiatives to reduce vehicle miles traveled, reduce parking demand, and improve Central Valley air quality.”

 

The new shuttle service commenced January 25, 2016 and operates ADA accessible passenger buses to be equipped with state-of-the-art student and employee ID card scanning capabilities and real-time location tracking via the campus’ mobile app.  Convenient and easy to use, the service affords students and employees a simple and reliable way to traverse the Fresno State campus.
