Traffic flow and Parking access control simplified by use of TagMaster ANPR cameras in 30 Norwegian airports

Press release, Stockholm, October 10, 2018

TagMaster, leading supplier of advanced sensor systems for Smart Cities, has delivered their CitySync ANPR cameras for use in 30 airports in Norway in cooperation with APCOA Parking Norway. Totally 400 ANPR cameras has been deployed in order to facilitate entry and exit of numerous parking facilities at the airports.

The cameras were installed as part of the APCOA CPMS (Car Park Management System) which is using ANPR cameras to identify vehicles entering and exiting the car parking facilities at the airports.

The goal with the project is to digitalize the traffic flow and parking at the airports. There are high demands on system functionality, as many of the airports are located at the coastline of Norway, with rough weather conditions and the North Sea almost hitting the runways. Projects cater for multifaceted solutions, with many different car parks used for several purposes and intricate demands.

“We are proud of having been chosen by APCOA as supplier for this new and exciting installation of our CitySync ANPR cameras. The use of ANPR technology for vehicle identification provides new and interesting features for the parking industry and we are happy to be part of this large and complex project” , says Jonas Svensson, CEO, TagMaster.

Sterling Heights Municipality Chooses TagMaster NA RFID Systems To Provide Mission Critical Performance

Sterling Heights Municipality Chooses TagMaster NA RFID Systems To Provide Mission Critical Performance

Tacoma, WA | April 2018 – TagMaster North America, Inc., a leading provider of Identification Solutions in conjunction with International Controls and Equipment deployed the parking solution for law enforcement and emergency service vehicle access for the Sterling Heights Municipality in Michigan. The recently installed LR-Series Microwave RFID system and high speed barrier arms have provided the performance and extreme reliability required by the city.

Sterling Heights Municipality needed a secure parking solution for law enforcement and emergency service vehicles that would eliminate any risk of tailgating and unauthorized access. Prior to the installation of the TagMaster NA RFID system posted signage was the only form of security for the lot. Eliminating tail gating, restricting unauthorized access and increasing user convenience were priorities for this project. Many of the law enforcement and emergency vehicles have metallic/UV coated windshields; the TagMaster NA long range 2.45GHz RFID system ensures near 100% accuracy and is unaffected by this common RFID interference.
The solution put forward has streamlined overall operations and increased critical security for the facility. Throughput speeds have increased, effectively reducing traffic congestion and tailgating is effectively eliminated with the high speed barrier arms installed by International Controls and Equipment (ICE). Sterling Heights’ municipal facility now has a secure, reliable and modern comprehensive access control solution. This solution has significantly improved the parking experience, optimized parking operations, and increased security for officers, EMS, and citizens of Sterling Heights.

International Controls & Equipment has proudly provided the Metro Detroit area with Gate Automation, Access Control and Security Solutions for over 40 years.  ICE is passionate about working with customers to create innovative solutions that produce actual results. They utilize the latest technologies, coupled with extensive experience within the security industry to achieve effective product combinations that fit applications and budgets. From automatic gate operators, barrier gates, parking systems, card readers and intercoms, to electric door locks, surveillance cameras and digital recording- they will help secure and enhance your property.
