Andrew and Mark will spearhead TEZ’s expanding sales force as we continue our nationwide growth. Their leadership will play a pivotal role in advancing TEZ into the future as they work with clients to implement our innovative solution suite.

 

Andrew Sherstad joined TEZ in 2017 as a Regional Sales Manager. With over 20 years of experience in the technology, parking, and mobility sectors, Andrew excels in various roles including sales, management, and ownership. Working closely with the TEZ team, he has successfully implemented strategies that have significantly contributed to the company’s increasing market share and customer satisfaction levels.

Beyond his professional achievements, Andrew takes immense pride in teaching and developing talent by leveraging his extensive industry knowledge to empower the next generation of professionals. His teaching passion will be invaluable as he transitions into a sales leadership position. Andrew is a member of several parking and mobility industry organizations including NPA, IPMI, BOMA, PAV, MAPA, CPTA, NYSPTA, PPA, and NEPC.

 

Mark Berglund joined TEZ in 2017 as well. As a 25-year technology professional, he has worked with organizations ranging from small start-ups to multibillion-dollar companies to maximize their operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction through technology adoption. With a current focus on SaaS parking, he has attained considerable experience understanding parking technology needs across multiple industries including hospitality, mixed-use, municipal, airport, and retail. Mark has helped provide countless organizations with the information and resources needed to maximize revenue, streamline operations, and provide best-in-class customer satisfaction. Mark is a member of several parking and mobility industry organizations including SWPTA, PIPTA, CMPA, IPMI, and NPA.

TEZ has experienced tremendous growth, and through these appointments that momentum will continue. Names TEZ Founder Ken Lovegreen Vice Chairman and Chief Innovation Officer

 

 

 

PLANO, Texas — App-free parking software and payments innovator TEZ Technology (“TEZ” or the “Company”) today announced it has appointed industry veteran Mike Simmons to Chief Executive Officer, given the Company’s rapid growth trajectory. Mr. Simmons is a proven leader of high-growth companies, having previously founded and scaled parking technology provider T2 Systems as its CEO. Now as CEO of TEZ, Mr. Simmons will be responsible for expanding the Company’s North American operations while also leading its growing international footprint.

 

TEZ, whose customers include hospitality, retail, restaurants, healthcare, Class-A office, mixed-use, residential, sports and entertainment, university, and municipal clients, is a portfolio company of Tritium Partners, a private equity firm focused on technology and services companies.

 

Concurrently, the Company announced that founder and former CEO Ken Lovegreen will become Vice Chairman and Chief Innovation Officer. Mr. Lovegreen will work closely with Mr. Simmons and other key stakeholders to set the Company’s vision for the future, focusing his time and expertise on key strategic initiatives including the advancement of cutting-edge innovation and product enhancements for the benefit of TEZ clients. Mr. Lovegreen is known for having invented and patented the world-renowned restaurant paging systems as founder and CEO of Long Range Systems.

Mr. Simmons is a 30-year parking industry technology veteran who joined TEZ in 2021 as its Executive Chairman to work closely with management on strategy, operating plans, and organizational structure. Before that, he served as founder and CEO of T2 Systems, where he helped create multiple parking solutions, including parking management and enforcement platforms. He oversaw the company’s ascension through multiple phases of unprecedented growth and institutional acquisitions over a period of 25 years. Previously, Mr. Simmons served as CEO of Sharpen Technologies, where he helped the company raise $40M in growth capital and grow its operations, fueling a significant increase in enterprise value.

PLANO, TX – March 7, 2022 – On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, TEZ Technology (TEZ) was a part of the grand opening of the new Marriott International Headquarters in Bethesda, MD. The $600 million project includes approximately 785,000 square feet of Class A office space that accommodates more than 3,500 Marriott International team members, as well as an adjacent 12-story hotel. The iconic project contains a five-level, 811-space underground parking facility connecting the hotel and the headquarters building.

 

TEZ worked closely with Marriott to incorporate its ticketless SMS Valet solution to serve both office employees and guests, as well as hotel visitors. SMS Valet is an app-free SMS-based solution designed to streamline valet parking operations, engage customers, and expedite the process for drivers and parking staff. The text-based system eliminates the need for paper tickets, utilizing text messaging for vehicle registration upon arrival and allowing guests to request their vehicles through their mobile device to initiate their departure. The solution creates a more pleasant and seamless parking experience for customers, while helping to increase parking revenues for operators and owners like Marriott.

 

TEZ is thrilled to incorporate our innovative SMS Valet solution at this new development in the heart of Bethesda. The new facility will contribute positively to the area in a variety of ways, including the addition of new jobs, significant green space, access to public transportation, and more. TEZ Technology today announced the hiring of parking industry technology veteran, Todd Dorsey, as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), and the appointment of Steve Resnick, CAPP, current CRO, to the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). As CRO, Dorsey will be responsible for integration and alignment of all revenue-related activities at the company, leading the sales team with a focus on driving TEZ’s domestic and international expansion efforts.

 

Dorsey joins TEZ from Maven Machines where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, performing in similar capacities. Prior to Maven, Dorsey was Vice President of Sales at T2 Systems, where he was responsible for T2’s business development and account management teams across T2’s multiple enterprise solution suites, including SaaS technology, hardware platforms, and professional services.
