The Harman Group Announces Promotions in Philadelphia and New York
Philadelphia, PA -The Harman Group (THG), a structural engineering firm specializing in buildings, is proud to announce the promotion of four team members: Todd Campbell, Senior Associate; Chris Gottschall, Associate; Jason Squitiere, Associate; and Tuna Yelkikanat, Senior Associate and Director of the New York office.
PHILADELPHIA:
Todd Campbell, PE
Senior Associate/Project Manager
As a Project Manager, Todd Campbell manages a team of structural engineers, and works directly with clients to maintain production schedules and quality for each of his projects. He has recently focused on steel connection design and construction engineering for such projects as World Trade Center Towers 2 and3, Madison Square Renovations and Hudson Yards.
Mr. Campbell serves on the Corporate Management Committee responsible for planning and carrying out the strategic planning initiatives as well as managing the firm. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers and the Pennsylvania Association of Structural Engineers.
Mr. Campbell is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Delaware, New Jersey and New York and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University and a Masters in Civil Engineering (Structural Concentration) from Villanova University. Mr. Cambell joined THG’s Philadelphia team in 2000.
Christopher C. Gottschall
Associate/Senior Project Engineer
Senior Project Engineer Christopher Gottschall has 16 years of experience as a structural engineer. He oversees all aspects of a project’s structural and foundation design. Mr. Gottschall’s expertise, especially with steel, post-tensioned concrete and mixed use allows the Harman Group to streamline the design and coordination of large complex mixed-use projects with varied structural systems.
His experience in structural design includes the master plan and ensuing $650 million of construction at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; the Race Street Student Residence at Drexel University and the Philadelphia Family Court in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Gottschall is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers (DVASE). He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering before joining THG’s Philadelphia team in 2001. He has also undertaken graduate work in Structural Engineering and Concrete Research from Pennsylvania State University.
Jason A. Squitiere, PE
Associate/Project Manager
Jason Squitiere has 12 years of experience as a structural engineer. A Project Manager at The Harman Group, he guides the structural design process and is responsible for coordinating the design disciplines and project goals. He understands the schedule pressures that modern projects require, and emphasizes responsiveness. He employs his experience in coordination, analysis and design to provide the highest level of customer service for clients and project team members alike. Jason’s focus with every project large and small is to develop structural solutions that realize the goal of getting the project built.
His extensive experience in the structural design of a variety of hospitality and gaming, residential, healthcare and parking projects includes new design and casino renovation projects for MGM Grand at Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, SugarHouse Casino, Parx Casino and Tioga Downs; as well as many mixed-use residential projects in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Squitiere is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers (DVASE), and the Structural Engineers Association of Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and joined THG’s Philadelphia team in 2005. Mr. Squitiere is a licensed professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
NEW YORK:
Tuna Yelkikanat, PE, LEED GA
Senior Associate/Director – New York Office
Tuna Yelkikanat is the Director of The Harman Group’s New York office, and is responsible for the management of ongoing New York and New Jersey projects as well as the development of new clients in the New York/New Jersey area. Mr. Yelkikanat has vast experience in the structural design and management of complex high rise projects in the U.S. and around the world. He is an expert on custom designing tall buildings to provide the most desired architectural layout and most sellable/rentable square footage for clients.
Mr. Yelkikanat is a member of the American Association of Civil Engineers; Urban Land Institute; the American Concrete Institute where he is Associate Member of the ACI Committee; and is a National Allied Individual Member of The American Institute of Architects.
Tuna is a member of the following organizations:
He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and is a LEED Green Associate. Tuna earned a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, and a M.S. degree in Structural Engineering from CUNY, City College of New York. Mr. Yelkikanat joined the New York Team in 2014.
