TIBA Parking Systems is Selected to Install Access and Revenue Control Equipment in 11 Parking Facilities Across the City of Greenville

Greenville, South Carolina  — The City of Greenville selected TIBA Parking Systems to launch customer service centric operations in 11 city-owned garages and one surface lot, totaling at 60 entry and exit lanes.

 

“After months of research, the City of Greenville, SC has selected TIBA as the provider of PARCS equipment for all 11 of its city managed garages,” said Bill Foster, General Manager of Parking Services for the City of Greenville, South Carolina. “TIBA’s comprehensive solution that includes hardware, software, LPR technology and a mobile application fits our needs completely and we are excited about the improved functionality that will be available to our community.”

The City of Greenville currently operates 11 parking facilities within the Central Business District for a total of 60 lanes and approximately 8,000 spaces. Six downtown hotels, comprised of 3 hotel brands, are also supported by the City parking facilities.

The project will also include License Plate Recognition, Access Credentials, IP Based Intercom, combination of full service pay and credit only in lanes, and offline validations and Smart Sticker Parker Program.

TIBA Parking Systems Rapidly Deploys and Commissions 15 Lanes of Revenue Control Equipment at Memorial Hermann Property, LLC in 72 Hours 

 

 

 

Houston, TX (April 2, 2019) – TIBA Parking, in conjunction with Associated Time and Winpark, recently performed a smooth transition of 15 lanes of revenue control equipment at Memorial Hermann Health System in less than 72 hours. 

Teams from Associated Time and TIBA Parking worked around the clock to reconfigure the lot lane by lane, tearing down old equipment, seven cashier booths, and activating TIBA’s world-class pay on foot machines, and entry, exit, and access only lane equipment. The installation began at 7:00 pm on Friday and all lanes were operational with gates down by 7:00 am that Monday, giving a total installation time of 72 hours. 

“During the sales process it was made clear that Memorial Hermann and Winpark wanted to implement the latest technology and have it deployed quickly and accurately,” said Chris Archer, President of Associated Time. 

“Both the TIBA and Associated Time teams did an excellent job quickly delivering TIBA’s world-class products for Memorial Hermann,” said John Whiteman, Executive Vice President of Sales for TIBA North & South America. “In addition to the 15 lanes of equipment, our teams were able to remove seven cashier booths, and later add license plate recognition along with valet solutions to provide a unique wholistic solution to meet the quick installation needs of this project.” 

After two pay on foot machines and all lanes went live with revenue equipment, the license plate recognition and valet solutions were installed. By strategically moving the location of the two pay on foots, Memorial Hermann received a 20% increase in usage of POF’s over pay in lane traffic. 

TIB@Pay, TIBA’s payment application for handling traditional bank card payments, also sped up individual transaction times to average 3-5 seconds allowing speedy and simple egress. 

With the implementation of TIBA with License Plate Recognition technology and an install that took less than 72 hours, Associated Time met the specific needs of our valued partners,” added Archer. ParkBlue Successfully Launched in Ohio and Indiana by TIBA Parking Systems, Enabling a Frictionless Parking Experience 

 

 

 

Columbus, OH (November 14, 2018) – TIBA  Parking Systems’ Bluetooth technology (BLE), ParkBlue, was successfully implemented in Ohio and Indiana for monthly transients at multiple sites. 

 

Since July, hundreds of monthly users have utilized the first garages installed by Signature Control Systems in partnership with TIBA Parking Systems. 

Monthly parkers at these locations now have the ability to gain frictionless access to the garage using their branded mobile app. As the driver approaches the entry and exit devices, the gate detects the mobile device and allows the parker into the garage by using the phone as the credential. Drivers can also access a secondary QR code by manually tapping their ParkBlue application on their phone if needed. 

This not only offers convenience to the parker who no longer has to roll down their window and present an access credential, but also offers convenience to the owner and operator who does not have to purchase and distribute expensive access credentials which are continuously lost and transferred amongst other users. 

This Bluetooth solution has also increased the throughput of the facility as less time is required in the lane to manually authenticate the driver. 

Operators can benefit from the ease of dialing-in the sensor range of the ParkBlue device through the software so as not to detect other users in adjacent lanes or in the same vehicle.

LOS ANGELES, CA (April17,2018) – TIBA Parking Systems is launching a local office in California to serve Los Angeles and San Francisco.

 

 

This TIBA initiative will be spearheaded by Malloy Pohrer as the General Manager of TIBA in California. Pohrer joins TIBA with 25 years of executive level experience in the parking industry. 

Prior to joining TIBA, Pohrer managed all California business activity as Vice President with Amano McGann. 

Pohrer began his career in the parking industry in 1993 as a sales engineer with Amano Cincinnati in Atlanta. He then moved into operations as a Branch Manager and later became Vice-President at McGann Associates where he was responsible for the startup of multiple branch locations. In 2007, he was promoted to Vice President of Branch Operations and oversaw the day-to-day business operations of all 21 branches in the US. Pohrer was subsequently promoted again to the position of Sr. Vice President of Business Operations.
