World Port Center opts for TKH Security’s 5-star security management system

As one of Rotterdam’s sky-high office towers, the World Port Center (WPC) saw its surroundings change from an old, dilapidated port area into an ultramodern and multifunctional district in just under twenty years. Recently, an inviting entrance was created for all tenants and visitors in the prestigious building, with a 5-star security management system.

About World Port Center

Any company can establish itself in the World Port Center (WPC), a building with international allure. The 124-metre office tower has been regarded as one of the most prestigious buildings in Rotterdam, for almost twenty years. The building’s architect is Sir Norman Foster, a British architect with a preference for open and light buildings. With a variety of tenants based in the building, a focus on hospitality along with the building’s security and safety are imperative.

A safe solution
Taking WPC’s wishes under consideration, TKH Security offered a security management system, called iProtect, to which all underlying systems could be connected. Every tenant has the option to set up the system separately for their specific needs, whereby the structure of the system meets the strictest security requirements of the government and is fully GDPR proof.

Providing easy access
The separation between the generally accessible areas and the offices in the WPC is realized by means of high-tech speed lanes on the ground floor. Central access is provided by means of facial recognition, smartphone or an access pass, depending on the choice of the tenants. Users and guests can request access rights and plan their visits via the web portal. Upon arrival, guests can then submit an access request themselves via a self-service terminal or they can contact one of the hosts or ladies.

Video surveillance
Several Siqura surveillance cameras have been installed at the entrance gates in the main hall. These are monitored via an integrated video surveillance system, called VDG Sense. Access and storage of images takes place at the user level in accordance with privacy guidelines.

Communication
A Commend-branded SIP intercom system is used to gain access to the various secured locations within the property. This system allows visitors to communicate with security from the entrance to the various secured areas, such as the bicycle shed, the supplier entrance and the waste container area.

“By introducing a new access control system in combination with facial recognition, WPC proves that you can work in a state-of-the-art office building with a 5-star security management system, without having to compromise on hospitality”, says Pleun Tasche – Asset Manager Real Estate at Unifore.

TKH Security Selected to Deploy its Smart-Parking System in The City of Hollywood, FL

CHESHIRE, CT –  TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for The City of Hollywood’s Nebraska Parking Garage. The City of Hollywood is a beachfront community located in southeastern Broward County between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It spans approximately 30 square miles with a population of roughly 143,000 residents. It includes a one-of-a-kind Hollywood Beach Boardwalk that stretches almost 2.5 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. The Nebraska Garage, an 8-level, 128,542 square foot facility, will use TKH Security’s camera-based M4 smart-sensor system and digital wayfinding signage to help quickly and seamlessly guide visitors to available parking. The system and parking garage will also offer ParkMobile and Pay-By-Plate payment options for residents and guests.

Available parking by the beach in the City of Hollywood can be very limited for resident beachgoers and guests. The Nebraska Garage was built to accommodate this high-traffic destination and provide additional parking options. TKH Security’s M4 solution will help further enhance the facility, elevate the visitor experience, and facilitate a smoother traffic flow. Additionally, this smart-parking system will also include the Park Alerts software module and CX+ API package.

TKH Security’s digital wayfinding signage guides parkers through the facility. Continuously updated with occupancy data collected from the sensors, these signs help parkers make informed parking decisions. The camera-based smart-sensors then signal which specific spaces are available or occupied using color-coded LED lights — significantly reducing search and park times and decreasing congestion across the facility.
The Park Alerts software add-on enables parking management to gain valuable control over the garage. This module allows the City of Hollywood to set automated rules and alerts that help parking staff manage garage activity, increasing the efficiency and security of the facility.

The CX+ API package was designed to help further elevate the customer experience. Empowering advanced mobile apps, palm-of-the-hand and vehicle-connected wayfinding, and a myriad of additional CX functionalities, this unique API ensures that each parker is treated to the highest level of guidance and comfort for a first-class, stress-free parking journey.

“The City of Hollywood is one of the most attractive destinations in South Florida to enjoy oceanfront views and leisure. We are delighted to help local residents and guests find available parking with our M4 camera-based technology and look forward to enhancing the driving experience for years to come.” Said Thomas Alexander, Regional Account Manager.

This will be TKH Security’s 17th installation in Florida.
Site work will begin in December and is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2022.

TKH Security has been Selected to Deliver an Unparalleled Parking Experience at Abbott Northwestern Hospital

CHESHIRE, CT – October 6, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of the Allina Health network, is the largest private hospital in the Twin Cities and is recognized nationally and locally for its exceptional expertise and care. As part of the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Campus Revitalization Program, Allina Health is building a new transportation hub and adding two additional parking levels to its existing facility, totaling 2,742 parking spaces. Intending to maximize its parking assets on campus, enhance security, and improve the customer experience, Allina Health has elected to implement TKH Security’s camera-based M4 System.

Allina Health originally considered installing a level-count system. However, after learning about TKH Security’s parking guidance technology and how its intelligent infrastructure and unique integrations could enhance the hospital’s overall operation, Allina Health chose to deploy the M4 single-space PGS. In addition to the smart-sensors, Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s installation will include TKH Security’s LCD- NAV and VMS-NAV wayfinding signage and several exclusive software modules: Park Surveillance™, Park Alerts™, and Park Finder™.

TKH Security’s proprietary M4 PGS and digital wayfinding signage offer each patient, visitor, and employee unparalleled guidance from garage entry to exit. The entryway LCD-NAV sign provides advanced, customizable, real-time data as drivers arrive at the facility, immediately directing them to levels that have available parking.

The in-aisle, state-of-the-art VMS-NAV signs display a vast array of continuously updated occupancy data, empowering visitors to make informed on-the-spot decisions. The VMS-NAV offers operators a flexible navigation solution that can broadcast an expansive set of dynamic digital messages beyond simple counts with split-screen, scrolling, and toggling capabilities.

As wayfinding signage guides drivers on their journey, TKH Security’s M4 smart-sensors enhance the guidance experience by indicating which specific spaces are available or occupied using color-coded red (occupied) and green (available) LED lights, helping to remove stress and uncertainty from the parking experience while increasing garage efficiency.

The Park Alerts and Park Surveillance integrations help increase control, security, and safety in the garage. Allina Health was particularly interested in how TKH Security’s surveillance technology could enrich the facility’s existing camera installation. Park Surveillance enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any activity in or around parking bays. With unobstructed views of each parking bay and the space between vehicles, this serves as a reliable and proven deterrent of theft and other criminal behaviors. In addition, the Park Alerts software extension further enhances garage control, empowering parking management to set automated time and license plate-based rules and alerts. These alerts enable operations staff to enforce policies and remain informed about parking abuse/violations within the garage.

As patients, visitors, and staff return to the garage, the Find Your Car™ vehicle locator enables them to quickly and easily pinpoint their car. By entering all or part of their license plate number into the Park Finder system, guests are guided to the exact space where their car is parked, increasing customer satisfaction and decreasing the time spent exiting the facility.

“This exciting project reflects the importance of a camera-based PGS on a healthcare operation that depends on providing an elevated customer experience while maximizing the features to enhance the parking and security operation.” Said Jeff Sparrow, Regional Account Manager.

Construction on the site is already underway and the M4 System is expected to be installed in Q1-Q2 of 2022.

TKH Security has been awarded the Parking Guidance System Contract for Bal Harbour Shops

CHESHIRE, CT – August 26, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Bal Harbour Shops’ new garage. Owned by Whitman Family Development, Bal Harbour Shops is a luxury open-air mall that is home to an exquisite collection of designer boutiques and restaurants; with over 100 luxury retailers, it is an internationally renowned shopping destination.

Bal Harbour Shops is currently undergoing a $550-million enhancement plan, including new retail and dining, that will continue to solidify the destination as a global luxury retail icon for decades to come. As part of this expansion, the new parking facility will be equipped with TKH Security’s exclusive camera-based M4 smart-sensor system and will help accommodate the continually increasing volume of visitors flocking to this premier destination.

Given TKH Security’s extensive project experience in South Florida and proven ability to deliver projects on time and schedule, Whitman Family Development chose to install the M4 PGS in Bal Harbour Shops’ new parking facility. This proprietary smart parking system and digital wayfinding signage offer each parker advanced guidance from garage entry to exit, removing stress and uncertainty from the parking journey to curate an enhanced shopping experience.

TKH Security’s digital wayfinding signage indicates where parking is available throughout the garage. Equipped with bright, color-coded LED light rings, the smart sensors signal which spaces are available and occupied using red and green lights — guaranteeing reduced search and park times and decreased traffic congestion.

“TKH Security (Park Assist) was provided a great opportunity to work with Flash Parking and Ownership to enhance the shopping/guest experience. Bal Harbour Shops has been a staple for luxury shopping in South Florida for many years now, and TKH Security is thankful to be a part of this massive expansion.” Said Thomas Alexander, Regional Account Manager.

TKH Security has been Awarded its Fourth Major Parking Guidance System Contract with Tavistock Development

CHESHIRE, CT – August 5, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the Lake Nona Wave Hotel. Tavistock Development’s latest design, the Wave Hotel, is an urban lifestyle hotel located at the epicenter of Lake Nona, offering an eclectic assortment of dining and dynamic meeting and event spaces. With hospitality and technology integrated at every touchpoint, Wave Hotel includes 234 total guest rooms, including 16 One-Bedroom Suites and two Penthouse Suites. TKH Security’s M4 system will be installed in the hotel’s new 900+ space garage, ensuring that guests are treated to an exceptional experience from the moment of arrival to departure.

Given the success of TKH Security’s previous on-site installations and its industry-leading technology, Tavistock Development elected to deploy TKH Security’s camera-based M4 smart-sensor system in this latest facility. Along with the camera-based M4 PGS, this installation will also include TKH Security’s LCD-NAV and VMS-NAV wayfinding signage as well as several exclusive software modules: Park Finder™, Park Alerts™, and Park Surveillance™.

TKH Security’s proprietary M4 PGS and digital wayfinding signage offer each parker unparalleled guidance from garage entry to exit. The entryway LCD-NAV sign provides advanced, customizable, real-time data as drivers arrive at the facility, immediately helping them decide which level has the most available parking.

The in-aisle, state-of-the-art VMS-NAV signs display a vast array of continuously updated occupancy data, empowering visitors to make informed on-the-spot decisions. With split-screen, scrolling, and toggling capabilities, the VMS-NAV offers operators a flexible navigation solution that can broadcast an expansive set of dynamic digital messages beyond simple counts.

As wayfinding signage guides users to appropriate parking areas within the facility, TKH Security’s M4 smart-sensors enhance the guidance experience by indicating which specific spaces are available or occupied using color-coded red (occupied) and green (available) LED lights.

Upon returning to the garage at the end of their stay, the Find Your Car™ vehicle locator feature enables hotel guests to locate their car quickly and easily. By entering all or part of their license plate number into the Park Finder system, guests are guided to the exact space where their car is parked, increasing customer satisfaction and decreasing the time they spend exiting the facility.

The Park Alerts and Park Surveillance integrations help increase control and security in the garage. The Park Alerts software extension allows parking management to set automated rules and alerts, enabling operations staff to enforce policies and remain informed about parking abuse and policy violations within the garage. TKH Security’s Park Surveillancemodule enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any movement in or around parking bays. With unobstructed views of each parking bay as well as space in between vehicles, the M4 cameras can successfully capture all action in the garage, serving as a proven deterrent of theft and other criminal behaviors.

“Lake Nona has consistently been a great client and location for the TKH Security (Park Assist) client portfolio. We are proud to continue to build our footprint in the Orlando area with our fourth major installation in this incredible development with the new Wave Hotel property. We are excited and grateful for the opportunity and look forward to our continued success with Tavistock Development.” Said Thomas Alexander, Regional Account Manager, Southeast US.

TKH Security’s M4 PGS Set to Deliver a New Parking Experience to the County of San Mateo

TKH Security’s M4 PGS Set to Deliver a New Parking Experience to the County of San Mateo

CHESHIRE, CT —  – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the County of San Mateo’s new parking structure. Located at County Center in Redwood City, CA, this 7-level, 1,022-space parking garage will service the Redwood City County Government Center Campus, which includes the Courthouse, Emergency Operations Center, and multiple County Office Buildings. TKH Security’s camera-based M4 system will optimize parking guidance from entry to exit and ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the facility.

Originally, the County of San Mateo was looking to install a level counting system in the garage. However, after learning about the additional functionalities that are unleashed by single-space parking guidance, San Mateo chose to deploy the M4 smart-sensor PGS. In addition to the M4 installation, this smart-parking system will also include two unique software add-ons, Park Alerts™ and Park Finder™, which use integrated License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to maximize parker satisfaction and increase control within the garage.

As parkers enter the facility, they will be seamlessly guided to open spaces. The bright, color-coded M4 smart-sensors help parkers navigate the garage by indicating which spaces are available and occupied using red and green lights. Designed to change from red to green when spaces become available, the LED light ring indicator quickly directs parkers to available bays, decreasing parking search times, minimizing traffic congestion, and increasing garage efficiency.

The Park Finder software module ensures that guests can easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. Utilizing the Find Your Car™ vehicle locator, guests can enter their license plate number into the Park Finder system. The system then searches its database of vehicles to find and direct customers to the correct car, easing unnecessary stress and limiting wasted time as visitors exit.

The Park Alerts software extension offers parking management greater control of the garage. This software add-on helps create a more efficient and safe facility, enabling parking management to set automated rules and alerts. These time and license-plate-based alerts notify management if any parking policies are violated so they can take the appropriate action, serving to regulate usage and improve the facility’s security.

“As TKH Security’s first PGS installation with a municipality in the Bay Area, we are thrilled to be working with the County of San Mateo to provide a system that will fulfill all its parking needs.” Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

Working with Del Monte Electric and Truebeck, the project is already underway and scheduled for completion by September.

TKH Security’s Park Assist Parking Guidance System to be Deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport

June 24, 2021

TKH Security’s Park Assist Parking Guidance System to be Deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport

CHESHIRE, CT – – TKH Security’s Parking Guidance System (PGS) will be deployed at Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s new four-level parking garage. Located in Fresno, CA, Fresno Yosemite International is the primary commercial airport for California’s Central Valley and three national parks: Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon. Complete with the M4 smart-sensor system, this parking facility will support increased traffic as passengers return to travel, ensuring an unparalleled parking experience from entry to exit.

Fresno Yosemite International, along with the Design-Build General Contractor, Overaa Construction, chose to implement TKH Security’s proprietary camera-based M4 PGS to help optimize space utilization and increase garage efficiency by streamlining the parking journey. The smart-sensor PGS is designed to help parkers quickly locate available parking spaces within the facility. This system utilizes digital wayfinding signage and bright LED signal lights to indicate if spaces are available and where they are located before entering the facility, significantly reducing search and park times for travelers and removing traffic congestion, confusion, and stress from the parking experience.

The M4 PGS was selected for this project due to its user-friendly interface and robust capabilities in an airport environment, TKH Security’s reputation as an industry-leading technology provider, and the flexibility to customize the system’s design to achieve the airport’s unique needs.

Unlike many installations, this site did not use the traditional Park Assist channeling to secure the system in place. Instead, the track and cabling were embedded in the facility’s existing architecture, and the sensors will be suspended directly from the ceiling for a simple, clean design.

Along with TKH Security’s exclusive M4 technology, the airport’s PGS will also come equipped with the popular Park Finder™ software add-on.

The customer-centric Park Finder™ module ensures that guests can easily pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. Travelers simply enter their license plate number into the Park Finder system and are guided to the exact location of their vehicle. The Find Your Car™ locator searches the database of parked cars and identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, providing step-by-step directions on how to get to the car.

”TKH Security is very excited to work with Overaa and Walker Consultants to design this completely embedded M4 system. This project not only illustrates our system’s versatility but also demonstrates our continued commitment to designing parking guidance technology that suites each of our client’s specific requirements”. Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

Working with Overaa and Walker Consultants, the project is already underway and scheduled for completion by September.

TKH Security Introduces its Newest Smart-Sensor Parking Guidance System: PE360

CHESHIRE, CONNECTICUT – May 25th, 2021 – TKH Security is excited to introduce the latest addition to its parking guidance product lines, the PE360 Smart-Sensor parking guidance system (PGS).

This new PGS incorporates vehicle sensing, high-tech guidance, and sitewide surveillance. The PE360 sensors, designed with a 360° field of vision, have complete visibility throughout the garage. Each sensor can capture and stream video and images to our proprietary management system while also collecting rich occupancy data to help increase garage efficiency.

In announcing the launch of the PE360, Gary Neff, President at TKH Security, said, “The PE360 will be the first product that combines Park Assist and ParkEyes technology in one solution. With the ability to function with both systems, it shows the power of our merged business as we continue to drive our innovative solutions as TKH Security”.

Designed to compete with low-cost ultrasonic systems, the PE360 camera-based PGS offers a lighter infrastructure and easier installation. It can be quickly installed, with little disruption and minimal effect on daily operations. One sensor, installed above the driving lane to monitor spaces on each side, can observe up to 6 parking bays. This unique vantage point offers unobstructed views of parked vehicles – while providing parkers with clear sightlines for easy guidance and navigation.

Leveraging Park Assist and ParkEyes’ industry-leading experience, the PE360 utilizes bright RGB LED indicators to deliver seamless guidance, while the sensor captures and stores video footage and images on demand or 24/7, whichever is preferred. With a 360° field of vision, the sensors, driven by a powerful software platform, provide real-time video surveillance and streaming, video playback, and the ability to extract and save videos to enhance the parking facility’s safety and security.

This latest sensor can operate in both the ParkEyes and Park Assist parking guidance systems with either software platforms, ensuring ultimate flexibility and control for customers around the globe.

Scott Dubois, Vice President of Product Management, added, “With the ability to function in ParkEyes’ software suite as well as Park Assist’s INX-driven ecosystem, the camera-based PE360 combines simplified implementation and commissioning, as we continue to add functionality in our new software platform to extract the value from this video-based system”.

The PE360 provides all the advantages of an ultrasonic system with the added benefits of advanced camera-based guidance, unprecedented 360° sitewide surveillance, and the highest level of security the parking industry has ever seen. This sensor bridges the gap for garage owners and operators eager to switch from a basic ultrasonic or single space PGS to a camera-based guidance system.

TKH Security Brings State-of-the-Art Parking Guidance to ilani

TKH Security Brings State-of-the-Art Parking Guidance to ilani

CHESHIRE, CT – May 6th, 2021 – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) recently finished installing its advanced-tech M4 Smart-Sensor Parking Guidance System (PGS) at ilani, the Pacific Northwest premier gaming, dining, entertainment and meeting destination in Ridgefield, Washington. Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE), the resort’s managing partner, selected TKH Security for ilani along with its flagship property, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. ilani is located minutes from Portland, Oregon, and it is one of the largest casino resorts in the Northwest. As part of the resort’s expansion, a 2,700-space parking facility was constructed. Designed to facilitate increased traffic flow during major events and peak business hours, this garage also supports future expansion plans. The M4 PGS will enhance the garage, elevating the guest experience and public safety by offering the latest technology in parking guidance.

ilani’s new PGS includes several popular software integrations, including Park Finder™, Park Surveillance™, and Park Alerts™, ensuring guests are treated to unparalleled parking guidance from entry to exit.

As parkers arrive at the facility, the M4 PGS helps them easily navigate the garage, indicating where spaces are available on each level. Utilizing color-coded LED lights, the M4 sensor indicates which spots are open and directs parkers to these specific spaces. This intelligent system enhances the user experience by significantly reducing the search and park times for guests while streamlining traffic and relieving congestion to ensure the facility operates at maximum efficiency.

As visitors prepare to exit the property, the guest-centric Park Finder software module utilizes LPR (license plate recognition) technology to ensure that they can quickly pinpoint their vehicle. Guests can simply enter their license plate number into a Park Finder enabled kiosk, and the Find Your Car™ locator searches a database of parked vehicles in the garage, identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, and provides step-by-step directions to get to the car.

Park Surveillance and Park Alerts provide increased surveillance, maximized control, and extra security to this parking facility. The Park Surveillance integration enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any movement in or around parking bays. With clear views of each parking bay and the surrounding space between vehicles, the M4 cameras can effectively provide continuous surveillance, document all garage activity, and guard against criminal activities such as theft, vandalism, and unwanted intruders. Additionally, the Park Alerts add-on allows parking management to set automated time and license plate-based rules and alerts that help staff control garage activity, enforce parking policy, and respond to critical events.

“TKH Security was thrilled to have the opportunity to install this new parking guidance system at ilani. As it is one of the largest casino resorts in the Northwest, it was imperative for us to provide a solution that would not only improve each customer’s parking journey but increase security and efficiency of the facility as well.” Said Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.

TKH Security worked as a subcontractor to the General Contractor, Swinerton.

Recently completed, the garage is open, and the PGS is ready for public use.

TKH Security’s Parking Guidance Solution Set to Deliver a World-Class Parking Experience at Arsenal Yards

CHESHIRE, CT – – TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) has been awarded the parking guidance system (PGS) contract for Arsenal Yards in Watertown, Massachusetts. Arsenal Yards, the joint development of Boylston Properties and The Wilder Companies, is a 1 million-square-foot state-of-the-art mixed-use development in the heart of Watertown’s East End. With unique dining, boutiques, brand-name retail shops, entertainment, a Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, modern apartments, and three eventual life science buildings, this destination caters to various employees, residents, and visitors. Eager to enhance the parking journey at this new development and provide additional guidance and security, Boylston Properties selected TKH Security to install its M4 system in its second garage at Arsenal Yards, ensuring that all patrons are treated to a world-class parking experience.

As guests arrive at the facility, the camera-based smart-sensor system helps parkers navigate two garages on site. The bright, color-coded LED light rings on the smart-sensors signal which spaces are available and occupied using red and green lights. This makes the parking process easier and more efficient for the end-user, and it helps decrease traffic congestion and reduces the time visitors spend searching for parking.

The M4 system is driven by TKH Security’s new software platform, INX™.  This cloud-based user interface provides operators with real-time data, dashboards, historical reports, and comparative analyses to improve the facility’s parker experience and operational efficiencies. This technology platform also encompasses business intelligence modules, service and support access, and optional applications for enhanced functionality and greater control. Park Finder™ and Park Alerts™, two of the most popular Park Assist software modules, are also available via INX.

The Park Finder extension utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to ensure that guests can quickly pinpoint their vehicle upon returning to the garage. By simply entering their license plate number into the system, visitors can use the Find Your Car™ locator to search the garage’s vehicle database and identify the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle. From there, Park Finder provides detailed directions on how to reach the car.

Additionally, the Park Alerts software module allows operators to set automated rules and alerts that bring important events to their attention. Utilizing time and license plate-based alerts, management can easily track transient parking, as well as unwanted behaviors or policy violations, to help enhance customer safety.

“Arsenal Yards will be a fantastic example of how effective smart building technology is a key driver for improving customer mobility and property efficiency. TKH Security is excited to be a part of this mission to continue enhancing the customer experience through new innovations.” Said Robert Wishart, Regional Account Manager, Northeast.

Working with Universal Automation (UA), the installation is scheduled to be ready for use by the summer.
