The Spanish translations are available when a ParkHouston user updates their device settings to Spanish.

HOUSTON, TX – January 26, 2022 – ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in the United States, announced an enhancement to the City of Houston’s ParkHouston app that will give users access to view the app in Spanish. This new feature makes the app more accessible for ParkHouston’s Spanish-speaking users as the city continues to make parking easy and convenient.

“Houston es la ciudad más diversa del país, por lo que ofrecer una versión en español de la aplicación es muy importante para la ciudad de Houston”, dice Tina Paez, Directora de Administración y Asuntos Regulatorios. “ParkHouston quiere que los pagos de estacionamiento sean lo más conveniente  posible para todos los residentes de Houston y visitantes de nuestra comunidad”.

“Houston is the most diverse city in the country, so offering a Spanish version of the app is very important to the City of Houston,” says Tina Paez, Director of Administration and Regulatory Affairs. “ParkHouston wants parking payments to be as convenient as possible for all Houstonians and visitors to our community.”

ParkMobile and the City of Houston have been in partnership for more than a decade, and the ParkHouston app launched in 2017. Since then, ParkHouston has seen more than 300,000 lifetime users, resulting in more than three million transactions.

The ParkHouston app, powered by ParkMobile, is free to download on both iPhone and Android devices. To view the app in Spanish, a user must change their default language to Spanish (United States) in their phone settings. From there, users can use the app to pay for parking or reserve parking in advance, just as they would on the English version of the app.

“The City of Houston has been an incredible partner of ours since 2011, so we’re thrilled to further our partnership with the addition of Spanish capabilities for the ParkHouston app,” says Jeff Perkins, CEO of ParkMobile. “Providing the option for Spanish in the ParkHouston app is just another way Houston is using innovative technology to create a better experience for all.”

ParkMobile App Hits the 30 Million User Milestone as Demand for Contactless Payments Increases

The company rebounded from the impacts of COVID-19, setting new records for user growth, transaction volume, and revenue while expanding service into hundreds of new locations.

Atlanta, GA – December 14, 2021 – ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in the U.S., announced today that the company has reached the 30 million user milestone as the business continues to bounce back from the impacts of COVID-19. Year to date, ParkMobile has increased new users by over 130% compared to 2020. Additionally, the company has rapidly expanded availability across North America, launching over 200 new locations over the past twelve months. In June 2021, ParkMobile was acquired by EasyPark Group.

ParkMobile was founded in the U.S. in 2008, and it took the company nearly five years to acquire its first million users. Now ParkMobile adds a million new users approximately every thirty days. Over the past 13 years, the company has processed over 465,000,000 transactions totaling 75 billion minutes of parking time. In the second half of 2021, the company processed over 10.6 million parking transactions every month.

In 2021 ParkMobile introduced several new product innovations, making it easier for people to make contactless parking payments. Earlier in the year, the company launched a new web app with a guest checkout option that allows a user to pay for parking without having to download the full-featured mobile app or creating an account. The company also made it easier to create a ParkMobile account by allowing people to sign up using their Google or Apple credentials.  Additionally, ParkMobile partnered with Google to offer parking payments directly in the GooglePay app.

ParkMobile expanded its availability in 2021, launching service in over 200 new locations, including Sea Isle City, NJ, Elizabeth, NJ, Estes Park, CO, Lawrence, KS, Lafayette, LA, College Station, TX, Leavenworth, WA, and Redondo Beach, CA. The company also introduced service at several colleges and universities including, Colorado State University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of California, Davis, and Santa Barbara campuses. Additionally, ParkMobile launched its first location in Puerto Rico at the Distro T-Mobile entertainment district.

This growth and innovation have resulted in ParkMobile and its employees winning several prestigious accolades in 2021, including the Technology Association of Georgia’s IT Leader of the Year, Atlanta Business Chronicle CFO of the Year, the IPMI Marketing Award, and the Stevie Award for IT Department of the Year.

“2021 has been amazing for the business as we’ve rebounded from the last year, and we’re growing fast once again,” says Jeff Perkins, CEO of ParkMobile. “The adversity we’ve experienced over the past two years has made us stronger as an organization, and I am so proud of this team and everything we have accomplished. The future of ParkMobile is very bright.”

Fast Park Facilities around U.S. Offer Completely Touchless Experience

Fast Park Facilities around U.S. Offer Completely Touchless Experience

Airport parking provider evolves experience in important first and last leg of
airline travel through use of mobile technology and contactless payment

Cincinnati, OH – March 8, 2021 –
The pandemic has forever changed the hard-hit travel industry, and leading airport parking provider Fast Park responded by completely re-examining operations to adopt a new customer-centric focus that modifies the hands-on, personal experiences upon which the brand was built. The company’s 16 facilities, which serve some of the nation’s busiest airports, have just completed the installation of contactless payment at all of their Express Lane Exits.

Contactless payment technology was an initiative that was already being considered when COVID-19 surfaced in the U.S. in early 2020. But, like most companies, technology-based investments at Fast Park were accelerated to accommodate the new, remote and socially distant way of life.

“The Fast Park brand was built on offering the most efficient and hassle-free airport parking experience for travelers and, today, that means prioritizing health and safety above all else,” said Robert Chavez, Chief Operating Officer at Fast Park. “For years, we’ve offered mobile capabilities that replaced the need for a paper ticket. Our roll out of this new payment technology was the last step in providing our guests a truly contactless entry and exit experience.”

Reduced demand for airline travel enabled the company to install, beta test and methodically roll the new payments systems in each of its 16 markets without disrupting operations. The final equipment installation was completed in early March following the lifting of travel restrictions at its final facility.

Fast Park’s touch-free solutions enable guests to utilize a mobile Rewards Card at check-in and check-out and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a contactless credit card via an Express Lane Exit. Guests who have not transitioned to contactless payment can still complete their transactions by inserting an EMV (chip-enabled) credit card or swiping to pay.

Chavez noted that airlines, airports and other businesses serving travelers have never undertaken a more important job than that required of them this past year. “The practices, policies and operational procedures implemented by the travel industry have enabled a critical sector of the economy to continue operating – even if at a reduced capacity. Fast Park has fine-tuned every aspect of the airport parking experience to ensure health and safety are prioritized.

“Although hidden behind masks, our teams of drivers and guest ambassadors continue to greet each guest with a smile,” Chavez adds. “But our teams also understand that investing in contactless technology and maintaining safe operations are vital components of today’s five-star service.”

ParkMobile Launches New Mobile Web App for Contactless Parking Payments

Users will now have more options for contactless payments with ParkMobile

Atlanta, GA – February 3, 2020 –  ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America, announced today the launch of a new web app enabling users to quickly pay for parking in a mobile web browser. This web app is another way ParkMobile provides more options for people who prefer to make a contactless parking payment but do not want to download a full-featured mobile app. This news comes on the heels of the December announcement that ParkMobile payments can also be made in the new Google Pay app.

A user can access the new ParkMobile web app by visiting parkmobile.io and touching “Enter Zone Number.” The app can also be opened by scanning the QR code posted on a ParkMobile sign or texting “PARK” to 77223. Once in the mobile web app, the user enters the zone number posted on the signs around the space, chooses the duration, and touches the “start parking” button. The user will get email and text alerts when the parking session is about to expire and can extend time right from the web app.

Current users of the ParkMobile app for iOS or Android can use their same account credentials to log in to the web app. Additionally, the web app will be introducing a guest checkout option in the coming months, allowing users to pay for parking without creating an account.

“Contactless payment options are an important way to fight COVID-19,” says Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber. “The ParkMobile web app is a great new tool that will give our residents and visitors more ways to enjoy our community safely.”

“We are always listening to our users, and we’ve found that some people prefer a lightweight web app to the full-featured Android or iOS app,” says Jon Ziglar, CEO of ParkMobile. “Our new web app makes it quick and easy to pay for parking in a mobile web browser and will help increase the adoption of contactless payments in cities across the country.”
