Parking App Launches at University of Alaska Anchorage

Students and Visitors Can Now Pay for Parking from their Phones

Anchorage, AK- A new parking app is giving University of Alaska Anchorage students and visitors an easier way to pay for their parking.

The University of Alaska Anchorage has launched Passport, North America’s leading parking payment app provider, at all of the 5,000 metered parking spaces on campus. Passport makes parking easier by allowing users to quickly and securely pay for parking from their phones.

Users can purchase, manage, and extend their parking (up to the maximum allotted time) remotely. With the new parking app, users no longer need to walk to the pay station — everything can be managed from the Passport app.

The app is already available at the nearby University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.

“UAA Parking is excited to bring this new parking payment option to campus,” said Glenna Muncy, UAA Director of Parking Services & Alternative Transportation. “Passport will provide additional convenience to students, staff, faculty, and visitors who can now pay for parking right from their phone without ever leaving their car, office, classroom, or study group.”

The University of Alaska Anchorage joins other universities across the country using Passport’s parking app, including the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Michigan State University, North Carolina State University, Oregon State University, and the University of Florida.

The app is now available at all metered parking locations on campus.

The PassportParking app is free to download from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
