WALKER PARKING CONSULTANTS NAMES CASEY WAGNER EXECUTIVE VP AND COO
Board Also Names Seven New Vice Presidents And Principals
Tampa, FL (January 20, 2017)— Walker Parking Consultants today announced that its Board of Directors has named Casey Wagner Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. A long-time Senior Vice President in Walker’s Houston office, in his new position Wagner oversees company-wide operations, including the production of design, consulting, and restoration services. Wagner also sits on Walker’s Board of Directors.
In addition to Casey Wagner’s promotion, Walker’s Board has also named new vice presidents and principals in seven of the firm’s regional offices. In their new positions, each of the appointees will manage his office’s operations and oversee all Walker projects in the region. Walker’s newly appointed vice presidents and principals include:
- Jim (Hakam) Dib, PE (Dubai, UAE)—promoted to Vice President for the UAE offices. He joined Walker in 2010 as Director of the Middle East and North Africa region. An engineer with over 30 years of experience, Jim is a University of Illinois at Chicago graduate and he is active in the Society of Value Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the UAE Society of Engineers, and the Gulf Society of Engineers.
- Rick Klein, PE (Ann Arbor, MI)—promoted to Vice President for the Michigan offices. An engineer with nearly 25 years of design, restoration, and evaluation experience, Rick has overseen the design and restoration of dozens of parking facilities. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Klein is active in the American Concrete Institute, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Masonry Institute of Michigan.
- Al Bustamante, PE (Houston)—named Principal in Walker’s Houston office. An engineer with over 15 years of experience, Al is an expert in the evaluation, testing, and design repairs of a variety of structural, architectural, and material distress-related projects. He is a graduate of Old Dominion University, and he earned a Master Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is active in the American Concrete Institute, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Foundation Performance Association, the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute and the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of Structural Engineers Association of Texas.
- Dan Kupferman,CAPP (Boston)— named Principal and is the Director of Car Park Management Systems. A parking professional with more than 20 years of experience, Dan’s responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and recommending solutions to parking issues through the performance of studies involving established and emerging parking technologies. A graduate of Eastern Nazarene College, he is active in the International Parking Institute, the National Parking Association, the New England Parking Council, and Toastmasters International.
- Brad Navarro, PE (Elgin)— named Principal and is the Director of Operations for Walker’s two Illinois offices. He has 15 years of experience at Walker and oversees the production and Quality Assurance process for all projects produced by the offices. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he is active in the American Society of Engineers and the Urban Land Institute.
- Brian Preston, PE (Tampa)— named Principal and is the Director of Operations in Walker’s Tampa office. Preston joined Walker in 1996, and his expertise extends to all aspects of the structural design and analyses, specifications preparation, and field support of new and existing parking structures. He is a graduate of Drexel University and he is active in the International Facility Management Association.
- Steffen Turoff, AICP (Los Angeles)— named Principal and is the Department Head for Walker’s Consulting Resource Group. An expert on parking policy and planning in commercial districts and downtown centers, Turoff is a member of Walker’s internal Municipal Task Force. A graduate of the University of California-Berkeley, he also earned a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of California-Los Angeles and a Charrette Planner Certificate, National Charrette Institute. Turoff is active in the International Parking Institute, the American Institute of Certified Planners, the International Downtown Association, the Urban Land Institute, and the California Redevelopment Association.

Gonzalez To Manage Walker’s Houston Office And Oversee Parking Projects Throughout The Region
Houston, TX (November 3, 2016)—Walker Parking Consultants is pleased to announce that Jacob Gonzalez, PE has been named Managing Principal of the Mid-South Region. In addition to managing Walker’s Houston office, he will also oversee Walker projects throughout Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Arkansas. He was recently named one of the industry’s most influential professionals under the age of 40 by ENR Texas and Louisiana. He was also recognized as a Top 10 Structural Engineer by Civil + Structural Engineering magazine.
“We are excited to have Jacob leading our practice out of Texas,” said Casey Wagner, PE, Senior Vice President of Walker Parking Consultants. “He brings tremendous experience with local knowledge and relationships in the design community and is nationally recognized as a thought leader for healthcare.”
Gonzalez is well known throughout the parking industry for developing a collaborative approach to parking design called Parking Integration.

Gonzalez joins Walker Parking Consultants from Walter P. Moore, where he served as Director of the Parking Services Group. He is active in numerous professional organizations, including the National Parking Association Parking Consultants Council. He also serves as Treasurer of the Texas Parking and Transportation Association Board of Directors.

MICHAEL CONNOR JOINS WALKER PARKING CONSULTANTS AS SENIOR PARKING CONSULTANT
Washington, DC (June 27, 2016)—Walker Parking Consultants is pleased to announce that Michael Connor has joined the firm as Senior Parking Consultant. In his new position, Connor will manage parking planning projects for Walker clients while, at the same time, leading and expanding the firm’s studies and CPMS practice in the Mid-Atlantic states and the Carolinas.

Michael Connor has nearly 30 years of experience as a parking and transportation professional. He has overseen projects throughout the United States for a wide variety of municipal, private, and institutional clients, as well as the federal government. His clients have included the Department of Defense, the Veterans Administration, the City of Buffalo, West Virginia University, and the Smithsonian Institution.
Connor is an active member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the Urban Land Institute, and the International Parking Institute. In 2010, he was awarded the Institute of Traffic Engineers Best Parking Management Practices award for the development of a shared use demand model and policy for the City of Virginia Beach and its Town Center development. He is a longtime resident of Haymarket, Virginia.

Chicago, IL (February 24, 2016)—Walker Parking Consultants today announced that its Board of Directors has named new appointments in eight of the firm’s regional offices. In their new positions, each of the appointees will manage his office’s operations and oversee all Walker projects in the region. Walker’s new appointments include:
- Jim Pudleiner, PE (Philadelphia)—Jim Pudleiner has been named Vice President in the Philadelphia office. He joined Walker in 2002 as a Design Engineer and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2010. Jim is a Pennsylvania State University graduate, and he is licensed as a professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
- Gary S. Rider, PE (Tampa)—Gary Rider has been named Vice President in the Tampa office. He joined Walker’s Kalamazoo office in 2000 as a Project Manager, and he was transferred to the Tampa office in 2005 and named Director of Operations in 2008. He was named Managing Principal of the Tampa office in 2014. Rider earned BS and MS degrees from Michigan State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Michigan and Florida.
- David W. Ryan, PE (Elgin)—David Ryan has been named Vice President in Walker’s Elgin, Illinois office. He joined Walker’s Elgin office in 1998 as a Project Manager, and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2007 and Managing Principal in 2014. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
- Robert Stanley, PE (Denver)—Bob Stanley has been named Vice President in Walker’s Denver office. He joined Walker’s Chicago office in 1996 and became Director of Operations of Walker’s Denver office in 2007 and Managing Principal in 2013. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. Stanley is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Colorado, Missouri, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Montana, and Wyoming.
- Randall Carwile, PE (Indianapolis)—Randy Carwile has been named Principal of Walker’s Indianapolis office. He joined Walker in 2005 as a project manager in 2005. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
- Scott Froeming, PE (Minneapolis)—Scott Froemming has been named Principal of Walker’s Minneapolis office. He joined Walker Restoration Consultants in 1998 as Director of Operations in the firm’s Minneapolis office. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University.
- Vladimir Ivanov, PE, SE (Seattle)—Vlad Ivanov has been named Principal of Walker’s Seattle office. He joined Walker Restoration Consultants as a project manager in 2014. He earned an structural engineering degree from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy in Sofia Bulgaria. Ivanov is a licensed structural engineer in Washington, California, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, Idaho, and Oregon and a registered civil engineer in Washington, California, and Oregon.
- Deon Bender, PE (Dubai)—Deon Bender has been named Director of Operations of Walker’s United Arab Emirates Office. Dean joined Walker in 2008 as a Project Manager in the firm’s UAE office. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineer from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
