Innovative “Smart Parking” Company Selected for Wisconsin Tech Summit
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (April 14, 2016) – CivicSmart, Inc., an innovator of patented on-street parking sensors and other “Smart City” technologies, was recently selected by the Wisconsin Technology Council to participate in the 2016 Wisconsin Tech Summit. This annual event is designed to foster technological innovation by connecting major and emerging companies in Wisconsin and beyond through a setting that allows them to meet and explore relationships around technology needs.
Based in Milwaukee, CivicSmart’s patented “Smart Parking” solutions can be found today in 2,000 cities around the world. CivicSmart’s solutions include vehicle detection sensors, smart parking meters, wireless handheld enforcement devices, electronic permits, and comprehensive data management systems. These offerings fit into the emerging trends of “big data,” data analytics, information systems, and connected devices (Internet of Things).
“While our products have been deployed in cities across 5 continents for 80 years, the emergence of Smart Parking as a cost-effective pathway into broader Smart City initiatives is fueling global demand for our offerings,“ stated Mike Nickolaus, President and CEO of CivicSmart. “In addition to a long history of working with the City of Milwaukee, we are looking forward to introducing ourselves to major companies from around the State of Wisconsin who can integrate our technologies and help us go to market.”
